★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was cold, rough and rainy when we were there in February 2019. Before the rain the quantity of waterfalls was fascinating. From our ship we went out in a Zodiac. Might have been beautiful in calm, sunny weather. In our case we got soaked and cold and views were better from the ship. Some people didn't like the Zodiac ride, but for us it was exciting and fun and a good story to remember.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The view from the ship was spectacular! The waterfalls were beautiful, though small because it hadn't rained in a few days. Some of the mountains still have enough snow to make for good pictures.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ To be honest, if you stay in Queenstown, I will recommend you to skip this place. Too far and not really special for a person from island country.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Milford sound is a great place to enjoy waterfalls and natural beauty.. it is located about 281 kms from queenstown Newzealand. There are three options to go there.
1. By driving for which u have to leave at least 6 hours before your departure. The benefits of driving are u can stop anywhere in the way to see the amazing nature
2. By plane if u want to experience the mother nature from the top and remember it gonna cost u about a ticket to Australia from newzealand for single person. (400) dollars.
3 . By boat from queenstown city.. which impact ur pocket little but more.
Later after reaching at the cruise terminal . U will be headed to boar where they have soup and food option. The best things in the cruise is the 1hour 30 minutes journey which thrills u with seal resting on the rocks nearby .
Altough it is an amazing trip

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Milford Sound is a fiord in the southwest of New Zealand’s South Island. It’s known for towering Mitre Peak, plus rainforests and waterfalls like Stirling and Bowen falls, which plummet down its sheer sides. The fiord is home to fur seal colonies, penguins and dolphins. Milford Discovery Centre and Underwater Observatory offers views of rare black coral and other marine life. Boat tours are a popular way to explore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The crisp fresh air and clear blue water with large walled cliff tops surrounding you as you sail up the Sound is just incredible. Its remoteness and therefore difficult access just adds to the experience. Admittedly, we seen on a beautiful sunny October day, but the experience just stays with you for ever.
