Also, being only a short walking distance from the Wharf and Visitor Terminal, the Breakwater Walkway is a great place to watch the sunrise or sunset at the fjord. It's the perfect place to take snaps of Milford Sound and its iconic Mitre Peak while waiting for your cruise to depart or for capturing reflection photos during sunrise or sunset.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walk towards the ferries from the carpark and you’ll see this path leading out on a breakwater. It continues from the Milford Sound Foreshore Walk and is easy to find - just follow the boardwalk. It brings you closer to the huge waterfalls , so close that you get the spray! You can also see the incoming and outgoing ferries against the stunning view.
