★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very beautiful, I highly recommend going there. There is a 1.2km one lane tunnel with a 3.8m clearance I think. The underwater part was fun too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Today my wife and I used this service to get to the underwater observatory. I have to say the real highlight was just cruising around the fiords. The scenery is just absurdly majestic, everywhere you look you're just smashed in the face by how amazing it all is. Strongly strongly recommend. The captain Dan was very personable and provided lots of interesting information about the region and gave my wife a glacial facial.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A must-do experience if you're in the region. The cruise was simply amazing and the workers very nice and helpful. The skipper gave lots of interesting insights making the cruise even more enjoyable!
We had the picnic included and it was so worth it! A sandwich, a bag of chips, cookies, apple, tangerine, chocolate, crackers and cheese. All of that for one person!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We did a cruise on 16 April after the heavy rain during the night. I thought the cruise was going to be terrible with the weather but it was quite the opposite. The amount of waterfalls we saw was amazing. With a picnic lunch included and a visit to the underwater observatory this trip was well worth it. Totally recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked the southern discoveries cruise on 15th May at 1.15 pm.
The crew was friendly and jovial throughout. Having good conversation and helping to take photos at epic sites.
The cruise was stable and fun with good commentary. It was a good 2 hours for the cruise and there was free flow of coffee and tea onboard.
There are 3 decks to enjoy the cruise. Lower middle and upper deck which is open air.
It’s a lovely ride.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were on their 9:30am cruise on Boxing Day and mind you, it was totally worth it. Daniel and his crew were fantastic, the commentary was so lovely, especially the humour. The detour to see the dolphins was awesome.
The vegetarian lunch meal was really a good portion, and quite tasty.
Look forward to bringing our overseas families for this cruise!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are probably half a dozen Milford Sound cruise providers, but only one that gives you the opportunity to see what lies beneath the Sound. Southern Discoveries is the only provider that has an under water observatory which allowed us to view aquatic wildlife from far below the surface. Their "Underwater Discovery Center" is the perfect combination of educational and experiential enjoyment. We highly recommend Southern Discoveries, not only for the wonderful informative cruise through Mildford Sound but also for the opportunity to experience what lies beneath.
