I'm really disappointed with my experience at Millers - this is the second time I've been to the store. Last year I was excited to look at fabric choices in preparation of replacing our household curtains and Millers was the first place on my list - I wandered around for 20 mins without being approached or acknowledged so I asked for help. The staff member seemed disinterested and waved at a rack saying those were the options that matched my criteria "those" being about 5 swatches... none of which matched the colour or pattern I wanted? I left feeling deflated and underwhelmed by the service. My mother and I visited again today to look at curtain rods and blinds. We walked past the manned counter and quickly found the rods. After taking a quick look I approached the counter and waited there for quite a while but was ignored by the two chatting staff (which was slightly embarrassing as there were no other customers in sight) and ended up walking away. When I returned with my mother we were offered help. The staff member did provide good accurate information regarding rod pricing and knew what they were talking about, however no further assistance was offered despite us mentioning we were interested in blinds and that I was replacing curtains. I'm genuinely baffled by the total disinterest, especially as the store was so quiet. I will not be buying from here, the staff treatment made me feel unwelcome - I visited two other outfits today and their service was exceptional in comparison - visiting Millers was not the best way to end my day.

We had to get drapes for our new build and we were so impressed with the service of the staff at Millers, especially Tony who was was wonderful help. I had previous been into the store to have a look around and I left feeling like I was very undecided in my choices. After going back to the store and talking with Tony and him showing me things I wouldn't have usually picked up we have decided on our choices. Excellent customer service! We would highly recommend anyone to go and speak to Tony, he was very knowledgable and amazing help!

Today I walked into Miller’s Home world needing a full set drapes for a new build that is completing in 3 weeks. Kaye served us and she was absolutely fantastic, she guided us through the whole process and was friendly very helpful and professional and we walked out the door feeling very happy with the great service we received. I would highly recommend Kaye to anyone shopping at Millers Home World. Gary

Came into the store last week and liked the new store and the staff were friendly especially the young lady who served us. But unfortunately they didn't have the same products they use to have. There wasn't wasn't same products, I understand products change but there were a lack of colourful ready makes and they told us they are no longer stocking rolled fabrics which is ashame.

We are supposed to have our blinds installed on the second day we moved in to the new house. And the installer found out that the measurement were mostly wrong. And then they took back and remake. They said they would put us on "urgent case" and still has been waiting for a month to get that remade. I asked for partially refund, they couldn't accept it just apologized and said they have tried to rectify the problem. We got our neighbor friend got there blinds installed the first day they moved in withoutany problem. Their blinds are cheaper and the company was more professional. And I really want to ask Millers home, why do I have to choose you? If you don't want to offer partially refund then offer something else even a tiny thing. Don't try to make your customer think a month wait was nothing!

Amazing staff with kind heart and wealth of knowledge. Was able to give us a price range ball park number on the fly and let us know our options and to he pros and cons of each. Super adaptable with young children. Would highly recommend giving Millers a go if you are looking for high quality products and services.

Terrible customer service in the Blenheim road, Christchurch branch. The staff were more interested in talking amongst themselves and sitting looking on Google maps than helping out with the customers. I asked one of the young ladies if they had any tan or brownish Readymades, was told no, only to see them down other end of the store. She made no attempt to even try and help, just wondered off and left me to look.. when we were looking at the curtain track the other assistant didn't seem to have any knowledge on them and just took my details for a measure and quote. Needless to say when they finally rang me, I cancelled.

Ordered custom made curtains for a ranch slider. was advised of a long wait for these, however accepted that was ok, about 8 weeks later these arrived and we're installed, but were made about 50cm too short, and there were numerous other errors with the making of them. Millers then arranged a remake, which after waiting another 8 weeks for, I phoned to follow up on. After being messed around on the phone for about 5 days, I was finally informed that the curtains had not been remade as the fabric was not available in NZ and that they had forgotten/not ordered it from Australia. I was informed that they were now ordering the fabric from Australia and I would need to wait around another 4 weeks... but this was not guaranteed, could be longer. By this point I was very unimpressed at the lack of communication and poor quality of service and product, I decided that I wanted to get a full refund and use a different curtain maker (this is almost 5 months since the original quote was done). I advised Millers that I wanted a full refund and not to bother with the remake, and that I would find someone that could provide the curtains in a reasonable time frame. I advised that they can come and collect the curtains and rods which are installed as they are not fit for purpose and don't meet the sales agreement made. Millers then advised me that they will only refund me $729 of the $1307 payed in full for the curtains. They advised that they will NOT refund me for the rails, therefore charging me about $577 for 2 curtain rods. I have advised many times that I no longer want any services or goods from Millers and they have not met obligations, however, Millers refuse to refund me in full. I have had legal advice from consumer rights, and I am totally within my rights for a full refund and to take by business elsewhere. I will unfortunately have to take this matter to consumer court to try and get a fair deal. I never agreed to pay close to $600 dollars for 2 curtain rods, I only agreed to pay $1300 for a package deal of custom made curtains and rods and this was not supplied 5 months later!!!!! I would not recommend this company at all!!! The management have attempted to blame me for the issues and have even accused me of "changing my mind" as the reason I have asked for a refund. They have offered no sincere apology or any sort of compensation for the 5 months I have waited for ONE window to be curtained. The office and management staff are hard to reach, and they just pass the buck or blame the situation on the customer. worst retail experience I have ever had!!!! Do not recommend at.
