★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent place, felt really comfortable in there, lots of cool bikes on display too, a bit like the Puhoi pub but with bikes on the wall!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to this shop to get the rear suspension replaced on my wife's mountain bike. I had the specs from a distributor and being concerned about availability with COVID I had checked on line and found one retailer who had the product in stock I Christchurch. I contacted Missing Link Cycles store in advance to explain what the problem was. The person who answered, who I latter realised was also the bike mechanic quoted a potential price for reconditioning well over a $1000 which, as I told him, was surprising and was not a good option for me as I could get a the shock retail for $550 online from Christchurch where it was in stock. He said something to the effect that there were many variables effecting cost and that they would not be apparent till the work was done. When my wife and I visited the shop and started showing the guy at the counter the bike and the print out of the specs hoping to get a quote the mechanic came out and started a rant about getting pricing on line and that either they do it or I do it. Any questions were not welcome. They were incredibly rude and arrogant. The mechanic may have been upset that I had exposed his over pricing tendency on the phone. We left without further discussion. I just walked out and went to the other bike shop around the corner where they simply took the specs and the quote I had printed for the part and said they would call me with availability and a quote ASAP. They rang me back the next day to say there supplier could supply the same shock at the same price within two weeks. Simple, well mannered, efficient service. I know who I will be dealing with in the future!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An extremely knowledgeable team with all you need for biking and repairs.
We had an atypical bike from Germany with a 3 gear system needing repair.
Was no problem and done on the next day with a reasonable price for the repair and a service check on the bike.
Can only recommend this shop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went in to have my back wheel straitened and order a replacement wheel, and get my brakes changed. They did such a good job. My bike us like new. The brakes are great, I really notice how much better they as I fly down the Tiki hill on the way to work.
They also adjusted my gears, which j notice on the way back up the hill. I'm so pleased. I highly recommend them. Thanks guys!
