★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful forest walk to a small beach. Beware of the biting flies. This is the natural habitat of the rare Fiordland Crested Penguin. Please be respectful of them. If you are quiet when you walk from the forest to the beach you may be lucky enough to see them. Don't shout or run along the beach rather sit quietly in a sheltered spot and you may see them moving between the forest and sea.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice beach. The best place to see Fiordland Crested Penguins (Tawaki). Very good sightings at sunrise and just before sunset. Only recommendation is to come prepared for sand flies.
