★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The perfect retreat 5 minutes drive from Queenstown. The hot tub at the foot of the mountains was breathtaking and the in house breakfast was perfect. We ended up extending our stay it was so nice. Lovely hosts, big room, comfy bed, modern bathroom complete with bath tub. A must for those wanting a little bit better than perfect.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved our stay at Moonlight Escape. Juliet was the most lovely host and even dropped us into town.
The house is gorgeous with an almost stately feel to it. The spa was clean and hot and amazing, the breakfast was a highight with scrambled eggs, avocado and all the trimmings. I especially loved the GF banana brad she made for us. It was so delicious and she also gave us some to take with us when we checked out.
Highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I highly recommend staying in this secluded but handy lodge. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with lovely evening sun. It was a treat to wake up to a cooked breakfast by Juliet and we very much appreciated the home made banana bread to take up the mountain skiing. It is an easy drive into Queenstown for dinner and even handier to get up Coronet in the mornings to ski. I'd love to return. Thank you Juliet!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful, modern lodge set high over the Shotover River only 10 mins drive from Queenstown. The bedrooms are spacious and extremely comfortable with small decks and big views. The large living room is elegant and superbly decorated. It leads out onto a terrace with a barbecue area and a hot tub under the stars. The breakfast is delicious with lots of home made extras. Best of all, Juliet, the host is welcoming, friendly and a delight. Nothing is too much trouble. She even offered to pick up some nearby high quality roast dinner take aways for us. And as a farewell treat she made us some whitebait fritters! This is a perfect spot for a quiet break , away from the bustle of Queenstown yet close enough if you want the bright lights.
