★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came after hiking and swimming in the area for dinner. There was a long wait (45 minutes to an hour) when we arrived around 1800, but that could be because it was a public holiday. We ordered a family meal for 5 of us.
Since it was a long wait we ended up going up to the Mauao summit and heading back to pick up the order. The tables outside were full but we just headed to the park to enjoy the food.
Food was nice. There was a decent amount of fish, chips and other fried goodies in the family meal.

Fresh snapper, pretty average serving.
Generous portions Chips, Well cooked crispy outside fluffy in the middle.
Potatoe fritters are yum!!! When they have them in stock

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time to buy fish and chips in this store and have a bad experience. Waited my order for 50 minutes and told that my number was missing. Very slow to serve. The chips was good but the fish and burger was ordinary. The serving are very small compare to the price. Won't comeback again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We experienced a very long wait but it was worth it, beautiful fish n' chips.. it seemed like a very popular place.. Very nice people.. definitely come back and try something else on their menu.. chairs and tables available on site.. Parking could be an issue if town is busy..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is awesome, but they need to work on wait times. Was told there was a 25 minute wait, got my order in an hour. There were a lot of unhappy people in the same boat. Dont mind waiting for the great food, but would be better if they organized themselves with orders better.
