β β β β β What a delightful stay we had. The cleanest camping ground we have ever stayed at. A cold afternoon saw us elect to upgrade to a cabin. It was spotless and the bed was cozy. Brilliant owners. Loved our stay. Pub across the road is open again. Perfect spot to watch the super 15 from. Paradise.

β β β β β Great campsite. My wife and I stayed in a cabin with our two young girls. The campground is a great place to stay to access some awesome adventuring. Georgie and Pete gave us some good advice on where to go. They also put on pizza for us in the wood fired pizza oven. Good times. Amazing stars at night. The internet was faster than ours at home which is amazing for a campground. Our girls loved the pet lambs and had a great time.

β β β β β Very cute little place! Old school kiwi but super clean and everything you need in a camp ground. Friendly owners who offered for my daughter to feed their lambs with their daughters (kids all instant friends and played for hours), they also provided lots of local info. A spa pool would have topped things off perfectly (ha). Very well priced too.

β β β β β We had a blast here, one of the best holiday parks we've stayed in New Zealand. Very friendly owner who gave us some good sightseeing tips. We requested an upgrade to a cabin which was absolutely no problem. Felt very welcome. Highly recommended!

β β β β β We were actually booked in at the domain campsite just a few doors down, but thought weβd check the competition out before we set up our tent, and so glad we did!! The Mount Somers Holiday Park had much nicer grounds, facilities, we thought it was better bang for your buck, and the family running the park were so so lovely. We had a lovely evening here, and used the great kitchen facilities for dinner and breakfast. Toilet blocks were spotless. Great family friendly environment, and weβll definitely be staying again next time we head inland!

β β β β β Enjoyed my stay, but in desperate need of a good clean around and under furniture. Window sills New furniture and beds and carpets. Cabins smelt very stale. coat of paint outside Very well equipped with a good kitchen and shower block. NEW OWNERS AT A BAD TIME (COVID). Wish them all the best and hope improvement s come with time.

β β β β β It wasn't my first time staying at the holiday Park, but it was my first time staying in one of their cabins. Very clean and roomy, the cabin consisted of a queen bed, set of bunks, table & chairs and 2 seater couch. Linen and towels are supplied by the holiday park. A cupboard contained crockery and cutlery for 3. A small fridge large enough to hold my bottle of lemonade, salad, steak, butter etc. To create the meal the communal kitchen is handy. I have two small criticisms that are so minor that I wish I could have just taken off a quarter of a star.
1. With table and chairs large enough to accommodate 3, plus crockery and cutlery, the expectation would be to eat in the room. May I suggest salt and pepper shakers in the cupboard. If you provide a jug to boil water, perhaps a couple of tea bags and coffee sachets?
2. A mirror on the wall would be hugely helpful! The lighting in the cabin is bright and anyone would have enough light to apply makeup, unlike the ablution block that is dim.
As I said these are more suggestions than outright criticisms. As to salt n pepper and tea and coffee, perhaps an offer on check-in for an extra couple of dollars. This was my first time anywhere using a cabin so I was unsure what to bring or what to expect, except that it was made clear when I booked, that linen was provided.
