About Mr Ralph Lighting Gordonton
The Mr Ralph journey began while I was working on my home renovation. I couldn’t afford the lighting I liked, and I didn’t like the lighting I could afford.
After much investigating, I found that by designing lights in- house and building relationships with manufacturers overseas, I could provide beautiful affordable lighting. This allowed me to turn my passion for lighting into a business; my faithful Jack Russell, Ralphie, the inspiration for the name.
From design to manufacturing, our lighting criteria is uncompromising - every product offered in the Mr Ralph range is beautiful, well designed, constructed with quality and complies with AS/NZS standards.
To keep up with the latest trends, we look for inspiration throughout the world of lighting design. We are also proud to collaborate with a growing number of New Zealand designers.
At Mr Ralph, we have a passion for helping people find the perfect lighting solution. For us, creating a great customer experience is at the heart of what we do.
We have an online shop with complimentary online consultations. Our 30-days return policy is famously generous, and we provide free shipping to all our customers. In addition, our design studios, which have been deliberately placed in provincial New Zealand, showcase our entire range and are where we offer in-studio design consultations. Each studio also has its own free in-home mobile design service.
I believe that everyone should be able to enjoy quality lighting. After all, beautiful lighting is the jewellery of your home.

Megan was amazing! She helped by advising on best placement, appropriate size and reassured me around my style choices. She was also realiable at replying to messages and following up on queries for me.
I highly recommend sourcing lights from Mr Ralph! itβs nice to also support a local company that doesnβt just import mass produced stuff from China!
