★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited on the second week of the July school holidays we were wrapped with the enthusiasm the staff showed to us no one in our family of 5 had been up the mountain before and we were all quite apprehensive we asked tons of questions and the staff had all the answers and more we will definitely be back next year and snow Hq will be our first stop to hire the gear. Thanks guys you made our family holiday stress free!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ OK equipment but so very very slow! Ironically, their brochure says "Avoid the queues by hiring your gear in Taupo", but the service here on Sunday was the slowest I've ever experienced in any ski resort over the 25 years I've been skiing. Not only does their check-in system take ages (about 20 minutes interaction with the till to arrange a family's lift passes and equipment), but they had no off-till staff to sort out rental equipment while this was going on. Result - three familes of 5-6 people each sitting around waiting while (presumably) entire life histories, character references and DNA profiles were loaded into the computer system. Then the equipment fitting process could start. Yes, it's the school holidays but that's expected so how about arranging staff accordingly?. Took literally 2 hours to arrange package for my son. Will avoid the queues and just rent on the mountain next time. Would also be useful if gloves were available in sizes between 3 year old and adult, and if staff don't direct customers to the Warehouse to buy these items (because the Warehouse don't stock them).
