About Nando's

We’re proud of our Southern African heritage, which is why we grow our own unique type of African Bird’s Eye Chillies on farms across Mozambique, Malawi, Zimbabwe and South Africa. These special chillies grow with their tips pointing towards the sun. Each year, farmers handpick over 1 billion chillies to provide Nando’s with the very best produce for our PERi-PERi sauce.

The place is cavernous, so noisy. Sat in a booth with metal deviders - have these been cleaned lately . . . The dust layer suggests no. Staff were attentive and food arrived quickly. Had to ask for drinks which arrived soon after. Sent back chips as the thick layer of salt made them inedible. Second lot (presume was first lot with some of the salt knocked off) - I couldn't eat just too salty. Won't rush back.

I went last Wednesday and I was completely disappointed at the food and the treatment by staff. I ordered an entire vegan meal, when we got the meal every wrap apart from one had feta in it. When I called the staff over and politely told them the situation was turned onto my partner and I, we were told “not all the staff know what vegan is”. No apology was made and I had to ask for the food to be remade. The staff member was extremely arrogant and didn’t handle the situation well at all. Just really disappointing that the place offers vegan options yet the staff are uneducated on what’s vegan.

The flavourful tender and moist chicken is hard to beat, service is typical of a Nandos, order at counter or via app and they bring the food, you fetch your own cutlery and condiments. Food is freshly prepared so be prepared to wait, the busier the longer you wait. Expect on average 20-40 minutes.

Been coming here for years, and the food is still delicious. Really feel like the standards have slipped here recently though. The toilets are messy, the service is very slow, and the staff tend to be inattentive (too busy talking at the counter to meet us at the door, forgetting to take cap off beers that require a bottle opener). It's not bad, but it really feels like a decline from previous standards.

Took 1 hour to get our food. Our food got changed without notification. We ordered ribs that got swapped with wings. Customer service was shocking. With them not explain a long wait time until we had ordered. And the place was overall very unclean. Will not be eating at Nando’s ever again. Terrible first experience. If possible I would want a refund for how we where treated.

Good food. Friendly staff. Relatively average speed in terms of service. The only reasons why 2 stars are taken away is because they are always out of chicken and other random things no matter what time of day you come in. I've been here 3 times. The first time at around 11am and they told me they had no chicken because deliveries has been made yet. The second time at around 3-4pm on a Thursday and they were out of chicken. No reason was given. The third time at 7pm on a Tuesday. They were out of chicken again. I don't know why

Nando's food is always delicious and value of money. However, today we found hair inside meal. Hoping staff will follow food hygiene procedure. Please see below photos for reference.

Apparently kiwi Nando’s isn’t a patch on UK Nando’s but if that’s the case then the Brit’s are getting Michelin star takeaways coz Nando’s is pretty freakin’ good. It may not be cheap but the option to choose your own level of spice (hot for me) and add a side of peri chips sets this above 90% of other common franchises. I go for the classic wrap and a ginger beer ever time. Yum! The Courtney Place Nando’s is nicely kitted out. It’s just a shame that COVID has hit the customer base hard - I don’t like the thought of not having Nando’s as a pre-movie dinner option.
