About Napier Beach Top 10 Holiday Park
The Cape Kidnappers and Ocean Beach Wildlife Reserve is the largest wildlife restoration project in New Zealand. The Cape Kidnappers Gannet Reserve is managed by the Department of Conservation for the purpose of protecting the gannet nesting sites.
The 13 hectare reserve includes the Saddle and Black Reef gannet colonies. Both are closed to public access, however the Black Reef colony can be viewed from the beach. The Plateau colony is the main place for viewing the nesting gannets where there are also good panoramic views from this elevated headland.
There are spectacular geological cliff formations on the coast to Cape Kidnappers. Talk to our friendly staff at reception about booking a Gannet Tour.

β β β β β This is a very tidy and friendly holiday park. The managers take enormous pride in ensuring your stay is safe, informative and pleasant. The standard cabin we were in was comfy, warm and spacious and it was nice to chill out the front watching the sunset and people enjoying themselves. Can't wait to stay here again!

β β β β β The owners were super friendly and booked the right sort of accommodation for our needs. We stayed in a new chalet with a queen bed and bunk beds, along with aircon, bathroom (amazing shower pressure), and small kitchen that we could cook dinners in if we wanted. The room was so clean and the beds were new and very comfortable. Clean towels were brought to us by Sharon every day which were fluffy and large. It was such a relaxed vibe, and we enjoyed hearing/seeing the ocean. Kids got to meet and play with other children staying. Great to get our coffee's and delicious scones from their Snapper Cafe every morning. We look forward to coming again. :)

β β β β β Not impressed whatsoever!
First of all when we booked we asked that the site would be big enough for a family tent we were told yes! When we arrived we were told that our site had changed, when we got to the new allocated site it was tiny no way we could pitch our tent and the ground was stones ( more like a campervan site ) we went to the office and said it's a no deal we got changed to another site, which at least was nice and grassy but so small we couldn't put our awnings up to have a sheltered seating area! Anyway next issue is the ablution block there are 3 toilets and 4 showers for the whole campground these were poorly cleaned and had no paper towels and constantly ran out of soap ! The kitchen area is rather small and appliances are very old . I would not recommend this campground it is currently under construction staff are not very
friendly or helpful. 1 star rating maybe in due time it will be better but currently not the most enjoyable stay we have had at a top 10!

β β β β β Have just spent 10 nights (including Christmas and New Year) at this awesome spot. Management and staff working so hard in these COVID-19 conditions....cleaning facilities multiple times each day, encouraging mask use etc. Camp is also being upgraded (significant changes since we last stayed).
We're happy campers.... looking forward to our next visit.

β β β β β We stayed in a cabin with all the family taking up about three of them. Nice inside with everything you need. Good playground for the kids, nice and safe with the beach a 2min walk away. Town is only a short drive which makes it a super easy and relaxed place to stay.

β β β β β Fantastic hosts, fabulous facilities , clean, new and a range of things for people of all ages to do.
The LOCATION. IS AMAZING!! Caught fish off the beach, had a cappuccino and some incredible food at the cafe( itβs not a cafe the restaurant food rivals central Napier)!
I travel 70% of my time nationally and internationally, 4 star, 5 Star and even a few 6 star venues. β¦β¦. Give me this place over all them anytime !
Thank you for a first class kiwi experience. 10/10

β β β β β Awesome place to come and stay. We had our first time at this camp ground just a week after the new owners took it over a year ago and loved it. After extensive development and more to come this camp ground is transformed and is so lovely to stay at and is now our regular place to come. We have now been 6 times and each time it gets better and better. The beach front location is perfect, and lots of trees. The owners are always around and on site everyday hands on. They have a high standard which reflects in how they manage the camp ground and we feel safe in this camping community. We would recommend this to anyone wanting a friendly, clean place to stay.
