β β β β β When it pops up and I haven't written a review?! Bad Shanla haha. This place at the time of me staying there (quite a long time) was amazing! If I needed anything Mike was on his way to take a look or to have a good morning yarn! Thank you 2 so much for letting me and scooter stay with you guys for that amount of time! I will never forget it. 100% great time. Nothing was ever an issue and the long term stay accommodation was perfect every time. Thanks again guys <3

β β β β β Went with a group-had a block to ourselves(17) - rooms carpeted and clean, made up beds, crisp white sheets-nice. Showers and toilets not revamped yet, however, clean and serviced every day. Kitchen had almost everything we needed-however,we asked for something and one of the managers brought it to us-great. Friendly place-apparently it was the old ministry of works site. We had been 4 yrs ago and the change is massive.Would recommend for groups or one night stays. Thanks

β β β β β Stayed in a shared bunk bed room for the cherry picking season and was happy with it. Mike the manager is a good guy. They are strict about noise levels at night on the camp grounds as a whole, which I was quite happy about since us cherry pickers had to be up every day at 5am!
You have to bring your own cooking supplies which is a bit of a bummer but understandable. There is a salvation army store in town (15 min walk away) where you can get all your basic cooking stuff for the most part!
I was nervous about staying here because of the bad reviews, but it wasn't bad at all.

β β β β β Good place while you are working in cherries, lot of people that are in your same mood, with same schedule, so it is easy to get along and plan activities together. You can sleep in your car, a tent, cabins (for 2 people) or in a kind of hostel with 6 bed rooms. The kitchen and commons areas are open until 10:30 pm. I recommend the kind of hostel, because it has a living room and kitchen open 24 hours. The problem is that the walls are very thins, so you can hear your neighbors as if they were in your room.

β β β β β Manager and receptionist are kindness, we living in 2 single bedroom, actually not bad, it depends on peopleβs behaviors, if u met dirty person , only bad luck! Anyway the environment was fine .

β β β β β Island times - very laid back - don't expect much. Not really a campsite - more of a park over property. "The Chalets" conjures up a picture which the reality denies. It's essentially a very low end workers accommodation village. They don't need your money but they are generous hosts and will provide you space to spend a bit of time in the beautiful Dunstan area at very low cost. The facilities are really basic and clean. There's no noise and it's a peaceful setting conveniently placed to Cromwell Town and all the tourist amenities. But there's no water for tank replenishment! This is the one fatal fail as a provider to the travelling public. There is very limited access to any water at all in the district except at Lowburn. Have to say we enjoyed our three days here in motor home. Very hospitable.

β β β β β Everything heres all good. One major problem is i had a package come all the way from Australia which inside was simply a hat i payed $70 for. It was clearly informed to the office by me to leave outside until some one took it. Does nobody know how to read packages and if they opened the package dont you think oh this isnt my package and return it or something? I've completely lost trust with in this place because of the people who take things that are not theirs. Either i get my money back or im gonna have to go to the police about this matter because its theft.
