Glen was very straight up with my issues regarding my car and spoke me through all the options as opposed to many other workshops in wellington that try to upsell you on your lack of car knowledge
If you don't want to get hustled anymore see these guys, they're genuine and I won't be going anywhere else in wellington now

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ **AVOID THIS MECHANIC** Took my car here for some advice about fixing an issue they went ahead with a repair without authorisation, broke other parts in the process. Refused to give my car back to me when I asked them to give it back as-is and then wouldn’t even return my messages and complaints once they had my money. The only option I have is to take them to court.
Clearly didn’t know what they were doing. Didn’t communicate with me at all and applied sneaky business tactics.
If you read their reviews I’m not the only one who’s fallen victim to them. Don’t risk it, plenty of better mechanics in Wellington.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Glenn and Rob are 200% genuine, honest and skilled operators. Over the last 20 years they are worked on Kombis, Minis, Landcruisers, Peugeots, BMWs and Capris for me. And I keep on going back. If you want straight shooters who are pretty handy on the tools, then this place is for you. Also if you want an old-school auto electrician that can use logic to isolate and fix electrical faults, Glenn is the best bloke in town. MOD

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Glenn is a nice guy and my auto transmission flush was quick and successful. They did not renew my WOF for a few reasons. Some of them were understandable, but they wanted a ton of money to replace all four of my tires - see attached photos. These tires are nowhere near in need of replacing. They also do not label the keys of the cars they have in hand. I had to try and figure out which ford key was mine. I am pleased with my requested service, very disappointed with everything else.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice enough guys but feeling ripped off. First time I took my car in they had a look and told me a headlight needed replacing - they rang someone up there and then and gave me a quote for one which I appreciated. Just under a month later I ring them up to organise the headlight installation and they confirmed that the quote had not changed. Couple days later after they had installed it, I was charged over double what was originally quoted! (not including labour costs). Was not alerted to the fact that the quote had changed and was a bit of umming and arring when I made them aware of the original quote. Have also never heard of a mechanic to tell their customers to ring them to see if there car is ready? Overall left frustrated and paying way too much!
