Kids burger meals and sundaes were best ever.
Fish was awesome as was the tomahawk steak..
Great service from the friendly staff.
Definitely coming back again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were on our fourth wedding anniversary when we randomly came across this gem on the 21st April. We had booked dinner elsewhere but when we got there and looked at the menu we were disappointed so we left and when walking past this lovely restaurant we read the menu and thought lets give it ago. We were so glad we did. Beautiful food, so well portioned, so tasty, great wine. Lovely waitress who was reasonably new to the job. Highly recommend.

My John Dory fish was beautiful perfect amount of sauce on everything, right down to the potato.
Husbands Tomahawk Steak was cooked to perfection.
Cracked pepper was offered by the waiter, like a well serviced restaurant should always offer.
Kids. Now that has to be the BEST quality kids meal! The cheeseburgers were a proper burger and we were allowed to swap their fries to curly fries. The dessert/ice cream sundaes, were even kapiti ice cream. Kids were all impressed, 1 being a tough nut to crack.
Creme brulèe was lovely and the steamed pudding was a nice size to enjoy after a good meal.
Will be back for sure. Thank you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me and my husband very much enjoyed our time here at number 8 wire! We had our really good friends come 2 weeks before, and raved about the food
and especially about the A+ customer service, so we made a phone booking, which was super easy.
The food was cooked to perfection, and the service was amazing. Yogi really went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, and even got us hooked on a new wine. We definitely recommend coming to Number 8 wire! You won't be disappointed ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We randomly stopped here for dinner for our 27th Wedding Anniversary, and we're so glad we did. The food was amazing, the portion sizes were spot on - we shared an entree, had a main each (with swapsies) and a dessert each, and left feeling satisfied with every plate scraped clean.
Number 8 Wire nailed (pardon the pun) setting the ambience with lighting, and a music selection which was just the right volume to enjoy without needing to yell over. Another plus is the menu was easy to read with a clear font against a while background - great for these older eyes of mine. The chairs were super-comfy, and the tables large enough to hold the meals and not feel cramped.
