Delays
- As a result of aircraft engineering issues, there are delays to some parcels sent by courier between the North and South Islands in both directions.
Delays to Mail Items:
- Due to precautionary maintenance on some of our electric mail buggies, delays of up to 2 days are expected for mail items across the country. These delays only impact mail delivered through our Paxster fleet – not Courier or Rural items.
- As our posties continue to deliver mail with a reduced fleet and through other means of transport, there is a small backlog forming. This will clear once the Paxsters are back up and running.
Delays to Parcels:
- In the North Island, we are experiencing delays for parcel delivery of up to 2 days in the Whangarei, Hamilton/Waikato and Rotorua areas.
- In the South Island there are delays for parcel delivery of up to 2 days, except in Nelson, Blenheim, Timaru, Ashburton and Christchurch East.
We’re working hard to get all items to their destinations safely but apologise for the inconvenience caused by these delays.

β β β β β I could only hope it was a brand new staff member....went through a pedantic level of detail for the parcel I was sending. I have been sending parcels internationally 7 times a year for 19 years and have never been made to get down to the level of detail this person wanted me to get into. I was waiting for her to ask me colours of items next. Family members sent parcels just a week earlier and were not made to go through this level of detail which the staff member claimed to be a requirement introduced over the past 3 months. Was the first time I posted from the base, will be the last time due to the customer service. Paying close to $200 for postage is bad enough really don't need to be given the third degree. Was then asked if the items originated from NZ.....not sure they have noticed but the borders are closed, so yeah I brought them here....Was tempted to say no they were all made in China or Taiwan but thought she wouldn't pick up on the humour and would then send me down another path.

β β β β β You can always count on NZ Post, their staff, and customer service to excel in messing up every single thing, every single time!
From wrong delivery addresses, to falsified delivery attempts, all the way to not following explicit instruction on signatures, NZ Post is THE worst post service I have dealt with anywhere in the world.
It would be better if you swim overseas or walk from Northland to Invercargill and deliver your packages yourself than to entrust it to such a failed business with its rotten operations.

β β β β β Worse "Freight Investigation" experience with Maxine.A - A $20 Item gets lost in the mail and all she has to give is a GPS explanation? That is not professional at all and I am highly disappointed. The fact that she can just flog off an email and be on her way after I have replied twice is disgusting. I am absolutely disgusted at the poor customer service and ill be complaining to The Warehouse on their poor choice of delivery service. I have spent over 10K in the past couple of months and not ONCE did I have a missing package. From Country to Country All over NZ Australia and USA. And I repeat.... Not ONCE have I ever had a missing package. Not to mention the amount of complaints on the community Mt Manganui page of parcels being delivered incorrectly, etc all around the same time when Lockdown first started a few months ago. You should be ashamed that you couldn't even meet me half way, nor apologise or nothing. Absolutely PATHETIC!
