β β β β β I cannot recommend Olds Bones Lodge enough. Grant and Karen are so friendly and easy going.
The Hot Tubs are amazing, each having its own unique placement and feel across the property, surrounded by nature, sounds of the ocean and wildlife.
Truly tranquil

β β β β β Highly recommend. Lovely people. Spotless with great facilities, tranquil and inviting. Rural setting, stones throw from beach and minutes from town. Will certainly be back.

β β β β β Had the most relaxing stay here, strolling along the beach and spending our evenings playing board games by the fire. Very clean with a well-appointed kitchen which had everything we needed to cook a few meals in. Bedroom was quite small but the bed was really comfortable, and it was so soothing going off to sleep to the sound of the sea! The owners were lovely and friendly too.
We were the only guests when we stayed so were very lucky to have the lodge to ourselves, but sure it is still a great place with a few groups sharing, or would be an amazing place to rent out as a bigger group!
(We didn't use the hot tubs but having seen the setting I'm sure they're a blissful way to spend an hour or two!)

β β β β β You know a place is very special when you get finally get home and still are feeling a strong nostalic, almost spiritual connection to a place ,you have had the joy at spending time at.
In fact we liked it so much-on our return up the South Island from Colac Bay we stayed there again.
The first time was in our self contained camper with our 16 year old Burmese cat.
Old Bones lodge had everything we could of possibly thought of-from amazing surroundings-the beach ,the stream ,the park like grounds ,the views ,the wonderful hosts, the lovely bathroom amenties-just made us want to come return on our way back up the South island-this time with our two new little Border Collie puppies as well and once again ,was thrilled to find it just as amazing as our first vist

β β β β β Stayed in our campervan on a powered site for a couple of nights. Excellent facilities for campers to use, and great location. We've stayed in the town before but this is the new campsite for us. 8 minutes from town and a beautiful setting 2 minutes walk from a Sandy beach. Great hosts and very friendly.
