E	Elisabeth Hubbard on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We walked up the Parata Track and back via the Te Au Track. Tropical palm tree scenery at the start and beautiful panoramic views at the top. Going down the Te Au Track was quite steep, definitly not easy, I was happy having my hiking poles with me. It's an "ok" hike and I would only recommend it, if you live close to it, not worth a long drive.

Can easily hear cars and the traffic throughout the track, not very good white noise coverage. But the kowai tree at the entrance was well visited by so many tuis. It was quite a sight to behold!
