★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Customer service was pretty good, I've heard a few people complaining they're a bit hard to understand but PBTech isn't a general electronics store, it's a bit more advanced so it makes sense the employees are trained to help more tech savvy people looking to buy computer parts and equipment (If you don't like that, you could try going to NoelLeeming or The Warehouse).
Prices can get a bit up there because they are one of the only computer stores in Taranaki, so you don't have many other places to go. They are building a new Jaycar in New Plymouth though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a genuine issue with a product I'd bought a day before. Item would not work properly. Turns out a cable was missing out the box, issue was not resolved because the item was incomplete!? Kind of why I was there then?
So basically I went away and fixed the problem myself (using part of my smart home automation system, not a cheap fix)
Thing is, if this item is as good as it's write up suggests, then were getting another one (from a separate company in Auckland after this experience)
We've had an account with this company a long time, we originally used to shop at the main branch in Manukau, but I can assure anyone my faith in this companies after care is shot. I'll be upgrading my desktop AIO soon (somewhere else) when the kids chrome books need replacing, same thing. As with our laptops when they need upgrading. I'm planning on getting a bigger main TV at some point..... You get the picture.
This event has also just reminded me that we stopped getting our phones from here a few years back, when one developed a fault within the warranty period efforts were made to render the warranty worth the paper it isn't written on by this place. Something I ought to have thought about two days ago.
Dante at this store is great, I spoke to him afterwards and he was quite helpful. Not enough to ease my thoughts however.

Been to other IT stores, usually they will leave the decision to you and they are not really helpful when comes to the products recommendation. Save my time from browsing the gears. Kudos to PB Team!
