I would give this company less than one star if I could. After paying them for insurance for my pup for the past eight years they hiked the price up to triple. I had never made a claim up until this point. I continued to pay their inflated premiums, ended up putting a claim through a few months ago. This was denied under false pretences. The claim process was very disorganised. And their staff are rude. Next step is the ombudsman. Cancelled both my policies. If you are considering pet insurance, do not go with these guys. Further to my original review. The ombudsman agreed and sided with us, we won!. Pet Insure conceded and paid out knowing they would loose in court.

I am really impressed by this Pet Insurance provider. My boxer has had cancer among other illnesses that have required major surgery. My Huntaway Cross suffers from a skin irritation that requires expensive prescription drugs. The process is easy. Complete the forms, get the vet to complete their forms, email off to PetPlan and presto the claim in lodged. It takes them less than two weeks to assess. Having this insurance is invaluable and well worth the monthly payments. I have peace of mind knowing that I can afford to get the medical attention that my dogs need without worrying about the cost. 08/2019 Just had to use my insurance again for my Huntaway X and again I paid my $100 excess and the claims were accepted and paid out within one week of submission. This is outstanding service.

I have had insurance with his company for a year. Our poor cat was hit by a car so I called them to tell them to cancel my policy. They told me I had to email them which I have done 3 times. I have had no response. As if it hasn't been hard enough, but to not even acknowledge my emails or confirm cancellation is just poor service. We will be getting another pet at some stage but I won't be using this company and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. .

Our 5 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback has premiums substantially higher than if you do a quote for a new policy for a 5yo Ridgeback with no explanation offered when it was queried. Premiums have also gone from around $40/month when we first took a policy out to $150/month now, which does not reflect real world cost increases in any way. Absolute ripoff merchants who also had significant errors around Ridgeback policies when switching reinsurers. Do not recommend.

You helped us when we almost lost our β€˜boy’ Nixon last year. It was a very stressful 2 months or so whilst we underwent so many tests and procedures to get to the bottom of what was happening. It really was touch and go for a few weeks and it was horrible. Pet Plan and the service we received from your claims team was nothing short of epic. The true cost of vets bills can be astonishing at the best of times and you never think you’re going to need it but, as with all insurance, it’s the one time that you do that makes up for all the time you don’t. Facing the seemingly impossible decision to carry on was made easier by the knowledge that you β€˜ had our backs’ and we were able to persevere and get Nixon back to health. This simply wouldn’t have been possible without your help. So, the fact that we have our little Nixon still with us is in no small amount because of your help. Thank you SO MUCH !

Declined first bill due to 28 day waiting period. Declined second and third bills due to 28 day waiting period, DESPITE the fact that animal was past this time and also diagnosed with a new condition. Obviously more interested in getting out of paying up any way they can. AVOID.

Very disappointed with this insurance. Our claim was rejected because our dog has had diarrhea before, and they claim that diarrhea is a pre-existing condition. Our dog is now two years old, and he had diarrhea once as a puppy of 4 months, a few weeks before we took out the insurance.

I applied for cover for my pup. He has no illness or conditions (vet verified). Company rejected my application sighting 'too many exclusions'. A muscle sprain from 2 years ago was written as 'lameness', 1 instance of bad tummy 2 years ago as digestive disorder and 1 instance of mild ear infection as a 'skin infection exclusion'. Obviously dealt by someone with no real world experience. When I called them to discuss, was asked to email. When I emailed asking to discuss, was simply told 'underwriters have made a decision'. If that's the attitude now, god bless those who need to make a claim. Sweet. Best to stay away. And FYI, my dog is actually insured at the moment and will continue to be. Congratulations on used a computer to make your decisions. Application of mind obviously not a skill required to work for you.
