★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My car failed its wof for rear brakes & a funny dim light, went to pitstop to get the repairs done. brakes were algood but he couldn’t get the light right only attempted 2 times then said that’s all he can do and shrugged his shoulders and still charged me. I went to another place and they got it done no sweat! He was the old short man! Hopeless! I always tell my family and friends to never go there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great experience here. My girlfriend and I arrived to her driving test up the road and her break light fell out/ broke on arrival... We rushed into Pit Stop Takanini, we asked if they could help us and in 20 minutes we were off with a working break light. I didn't catch the guys name who helped us, but he was brilliant. Thankyou!

It took all day just to fix a simple thing, after keep phoning for a couple of hours finally they work on my car. The reception is very arrogant and unfriendly, and the mechanics are very rude - keep yelling at me because they are busy. There is a fault code in my car after they have done what they've shouldn't be done, and now I have to repeat the same service in another store plus fixing the fault code that they had created. Thanks for wasting my time and money. I will never ever again visit this store, highly UNRECOMMENDED

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fabulous service from start to finish. I recently moved to Takanini and needed a mechanic to get a WOF, fix a tire puncture, and replace a few bulbs. The young woman I spoke to on the phone to book was friendly, polite, and informative. A mechanic called me within a couple of hours to let me know what it would need to get a WOF, and the car was ready with everything done by early afternoon. I called at about 4.45pm saying I would have to pick up the following day because I couldn’t get there by 5pm that evening, and the woman on the phone said that a couple of mechanics were staying late and one of them could serve me if I still wanted to pick it up that night! Sure enough, I got there about 6pm, and a mechanic stoped what he was doing, washed his hands, and served me. And the most surprising part was the cost - I was expecting a bill of more than double what I got charged. Bloody brilliant! *claps*

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Today I bought my car into Pitt Stop Takanini to get the exhaust pipe replace.
As you can see these are the photos of the tip - they failed to smooth off the edges which someone could of easily sliced or burnt their leg on as it was also sticking out quite a bit from the bumper.These photos were taken after works had been completed last Friday, Pit Stop Takanini advised that all works had been completed up to standard and $415 was paid. uUpon arrival to VTNZ later that afternoon we were advised that the muffler was not up to standard as they had failed to complete the wedding underneath and air was leaking through therefore VTNZ was unable to provide a WOF. After lengthy conversation with the owner he was to concerned about me reviewing my Google reveiw which I thought was rude seen as the appalling workmanship done on my car. Eventually we agreed to return and they would repair works free of charge adding in a cap at their expense. Never ever returning here again, I would not recommend to anyone.
