β β β β β A family business having a large amount of experience in the industry. Good customer service. The repair quotes are free and they won't go ahead until the customer agrees. Very highly competent staff. Great work ethic. Location and hours are easily accessible. Well recommended.

β β β β β Front of house staff are polite but unknowledgeable. I wanted some work done to one of may watches and the watchmaker wouldnβt even take a minute to talk to me. I left feeling very disappointed and frustrated. They might be good at changing batteries (though, probably not looking at the other reviews here), but if you need anything more complicated done, Iβd probably look somewhere else first.

β β β β β Popped in and asked about strap replacement and was told they would do it for free if it was straight forward in the hope that one day you'd buy a battery or service of them in the future. Sweet. Went back a week later and different story! It would be $27 thanks. Sorry I thought you did it for free? Incredulous look, "why would we do it for free" came the frosty response. Ah... because you said you would and to give a positive customer service and a good name!
Sorry going elsewhere.

β β β β β I am a repeat customer, dealing with Olivia. I needed a watch repaired in APRIL, I was quoted 6-8 weeks for the repair, sure. In July, I was informed that the wrong watch face had been ordered in and my watch would take the same amount of time. Why did this happen? 15 weeks total in AUGUST, on the 13th (unlucky for me), I was told the watch was ready and so went in to collect it. The evidence was clear, no signs of empathy about my repair or compensation, and Olivia let me go unhappy out the door in front of other customers. If this is how you treat human beings in general, karma has a whole lot coming for you.

β β β β β Recently went to have my battery replaced. The team at Ponsonby Time discovered that the battery was okay, and the problem was moisture inside the watch. They repaired the watch and returned it to me in working condition for no charge! Very happy with the excellent service. Thanks again.

β β β β β I had a fault appear in a new watch which I'd purchased overseas.
After emailing the brand, they informed me Ponsonby Time was the authorised repairer in NZ so I contacted them and sent my watch in to be serviced. I'm in Wellington.
They diagnosed the problem and requested the parts but because it was an in-house movement, they were asked for it to be sent back to Switzerland.
It was sent away but Ponsonby Time kept in regular contact with them and updating me with everything that was happening.
After it was repaired (under warranty so no charge) and returned, it was couriered back to me overnight. Also no charge. Ponsonby Time took care of everything and I didn't have to pay a cent.
I'm very happy and am currently wearing my "new" watch.
Thank you Ponsonby Time .

β β β β β Fantastic service! Needed a new strap fitted to my Suunto watch (strap was purchased through one of their affiliates) and had some trouble with a stripped screw. Took the issue to them having no issues with possibly paying for their help. They fixed the problem and fitted the strap and didn't charge me a thing. I know where I will be purchasing my next watch!

β β β β β Just topped in today, shortly before close. I had an Apple Hermes Watch strap that malfunctioned in the mechanical attachment to the watch. A very small screw had worked it's way lose which caused another little piece to fall off and then the entire watch would slip off my wrist. Apple was no help, wanting me to send back the whole watch. The watch was fine, it was the strap. I walked into Ponsonby Time, asked if they could tighten the two screws because I didn't have a tool and they cheerfully and politely did it and wouldn't charge me for it. Wow. I can't wait to go back with a chargable repair or perhaps to even buy a watch. Great service!
