★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a pretty poor experience here. We looked at a Toyota Avensis from these guys, put a deposit down to collect the car 2 days later. When we arrived the petrol cap wouldn't close so it needed a new spring, the drivers door wouldn't lock unless you used the key and to top it off, once it was driven at 110kph on the state highway back to Cambridge, the whole car shook violently. After speaking to an independent mechanic, he said this would have been mechanical and that this car wants avoiding. The guys at the store offered to fix the car, but with so much going wrong which could have been avoided, we decided that a refund was the way to go. Not worth risking a car that's got so much wrong with it from the outset. Alongside this, it took us 4 phonecalls to organise them to refund us, in which they sounded (obviously) reluctant to do so, as it means losing out on $13,000.
While we were there, the member of staff dealing with us didn't seam particularly interested in talking to us apart from getting money sent to them for payment.
Everything just seemed a bit half-arsed, with everything being completely avoidable if they simply took the time to check their cars for faults. If we knew of these faults going into the purchase, it would have made us more likely to buy with them, as the honesty would have given us more confidence that we weren't going to be screwed over once we drove away.
