β β β β β I must have idiot tattoo on my forehead. Outer Towner and 3rd visit to Portofina Gisborne and all 3 times very poor service. Waiting staff appear to always be new with no experience. Tonight the waiter obviously didnt know the menu as the wrong meal turned up, my glass of wine not ordered and again waiting staff wanting to take my plate before Iβve finished. Staff appear to be friendly but thatβs where it stops. Whilst I get bad service in Gisborne it would not stop me going to Portofino in other cities where Iβve always enjoyed my meal and professional service. However would not recommend Gisborne

β β β β β Beautiful set up. Friendly staff, delicious food. The bruschetta, ravioli and tiramisu were plate finishing good. Not to mention the house white wine was divine in my opinion. Highly recommend if you want something different than your usual restaurant. Will definitely be going back

β β β β β We made a last minute booking 15 minutes before the kitchen closing and the staff were very accommodating. We were the lucky ones as the service was top notch and the food was equally as good. We will definitely be heading back for another go next time we are in Gisborne. Thank you for helping our whΔnau cap off an amazing day.

β β β β β Amazing Italian food and lovely atmosphere. Very good service?? We had a seafood risotto, chicken and mushroom risotto, and a pizza. Seafood risotto was really delicious? Highly recommend!
