★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food and awesome experience. Seafood platter dish was about $45ish with decent amounts of fish, scallops, clams, squid rings, mussels and prawns which I thought was good value. Other dish was chicken risotto. Cocktails were reasonably priced and service was good (even for lockdown rules). Restaurant was very clean and the environment had a great feel to it. All in all a very positive experience. The only constructive criticism I would suggest is to print out the customers receipt before they pay but I had the price pre-worked out in my head. Will definitely be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I absolutely love dinning at Portofino Napier!! The food is always amazing but the staff are my true reason to keep coming back. They were the nicest waitress I have ever had serve me. Thanks Portofino team keep up the good work! Also I would recommend the penne al arribbiata it's my favourite and you can never go wrong with it. Also garlic pizza pane ??❤???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not a great evening. Hardly anyone else in the restaurant, yet our large group of 17 were told we had to follow a pre-chosen set menu. That was $70.00 per head, and only two courses, drinks on top. Service was indifferent, considering how quiet it was and food was only average. Won't go there again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So went in not really expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised! I enjoyed there seafood and pasta dishes that absolutely blew me away with the different contrast of flavors from the tomato based seafood platter dish to the light garlic clam dish that was full of fresh seafood that decorated my plate. Hands down the best Italian restaurant I've tried so far. I give it a solid 8/10 would easily get a 9 if it had fresh handmade pasta.
Three course meal for two at about $140 is very reasonable for the quality of the dishes. Highly recommended!

Great meals, very tasty. Most meals were on the generous side too.
They do really nice desserts as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Enjoyed an excellent dish of chicken mushroom fettuccine so deliciously,creamy, tasty and fulfilling it went well with a large bowl of 6 pieces of cheese and garlic pizza based bread that was so light in texture it was a perfect accompaniment to the meal. Was very satisfied with the excellent staff services very professional and efficient from beginning to end. The wait time after ordering was 30 minutes on a three quarter filled patron restaurant that is really excellent. Time passed very quickly social conversationing with family members which is a must when dining out. My eyes feasted on observing all the various varieties of desert being delivered to other diners tables and I wanted to order a dessert but my main meal alone was more than enough to sustain my hunger pangs. Excellent dining experience well worth the price affordable expenses paid will absolutely in the near future return. Must book for reservations to ensure seating availability.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommend this place! It's one of the few restaurants that meets our standards. Staff was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the nice ambience, menu had a variety of wine and pasta choices and cutlery was clean and glassware was clear (it's one of our pet peeves). We ordered the gnocchi and spaghetti marinara. My partner and I absolutely loved it. He had to pause to nod and say "mmmm" in between bites. We capped the night off with some coffee and tiramisu which was absolutely divine! I wolfed it down before I got to take a picture. Overall, this place offered great value for money, we're more than satisfied.
