★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice hotel - more for older ppl, have heat swimming pool to soak, but too hot to actually swim in.
Bedroom's wall are thin, I can hear what happen outside. Glad my room is at the end of level 3 and hotel wasn't fully book.
Furnitures are dated, bed head squeeze and sofa sink. Spa in the room didn't work. Overall room is big and comfortable bed is all I need.
Reception was very nice and friendly, the Asian staff in the breakfast restaurant is not so much... Not flexible at all. My booking is for 2 people for 3 nights ( breakfast included), while only I myself have made it to the trip) . I wanted my sausage to change to vagan for 1 breakfast, she said it is at extra cost.
I said I want to have my breakfast outside, she said I have to order inside, as she can't look after me out there. But breakfast was good, dinner at the hotel was very yum..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The rooms beautifully designed with wooden decor. Great location for a wonderful evening. The only thing that set us off was the bar menu prices. $22 was too expensive for the size of the glass. Also the cocktail glass was full of ice from bottom to top with harldy anything to drink, so not worth at all. No value for money at all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a very pleasant stay for 2 nights while we cycled the Old Coach Road. The hotel was very comfortable and the included breakfast was great. The bar and restaurant was excellent. It is rather quirky (eg big open fire in middle of the bar area, large freeform indoor pool in dark enclosed wood-paneled space) but it worked and gave real character! The hotel is all wooden construction and creaks really badly, and rooms have very little sound insulation, so get a room on the 3rd floor to avoid noise from above.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thanks to Grabone deal, we had amazing two nights here. I love unique wooden building that has own beauties, and room was really comfortable and modernized.
Luckily we stayed on 3rd floor with a view. We could see the train rail bridge and the beautiful color of sunset and sunrise.
The heated indoor pool was perfect to be soacked after long day activities, and the bed was very comfortable to rest.
The only thing that we were not happy with was that the breakfast was delivered while we are out of our room for dinner. Since we didn't know when it would be delivered, we were not noticed someone would just come into our room without our permission when we were not there.
Oh! Maybe the bar fridge noise and the train sounds( about at 5 40am and 6 something) can bother you if you are sensitive.
However I am happy to revisit here. We wish we knew the attractive part of Ohakune before we plan =)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gifted the grab one deal to parents for two night stay. They absolutely loved it there. Super comfy beds with calming tree views, and great breakfast. The receptionist lady was welcoming and helpful.
