★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located above the Powderkeg Restaurant in the Powderhorn Chateau hotel. Unlike the downstairs restaurant this one is only open Thursdays to Sundays, and is a bit fancier - chandeliers, real candles at the table, and a more refined menu.
The eye fillet was excellent, and came with great sides and sauces from a pretty extensive menu of choices. The atmosphere is that of a fancy chalet, including a large fire where they cook mulled wine. There's also a nice bar in the centre.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a fantastic dinning experience at the Matterhorn. The food was amazing,my partner and I really enjoyed the Tomohawk steak which came with delish sauces and a large selection of sides to choose from. They have a wide variety of drinks on offer,my fave being the mulled wine.The restaurant itself is athletically pleasing,designed like a wooden ski lodge with a warm fire and comfy couches to relax on after dinner.I can't wait to go back next year.
