Not only were the horses and views from the trek stunning but the staff also contributed so nicely to the experience with their positive energy and love for the horses and the journey they took us on! G	Greg Keen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife & I were a bit nervous about our first ever horse trek experience, but James, Clarissa & Renee quickly put us at ease with their easy-going nature, care & professionalism. All 3 checked in with us on seperate occasions during the ride to ensure we were comfortable & enjoying ourselves. All horses were calm & a joy to be around. We could tell that James & his staff are passionate about horses and there's no doubt that the horses are very well looked after and cared for. Being Nelson locals we've visited the area many times but there's something extra-special about experiencing the spectacular scenery of Cape Farewell on horseback. The team were happy to take the time to take photos on everyone's phones of us all on horseback from a spectacular vantage point on a hilltop with Farewell Spit in the background. There were also young kids on the ride & they were very well looked after with extra attention being paid which was nice to see & you could tell they were having an absolute ball! We highly recommend Cape Farewell Horse Treks!! Thanks so much guys!!

The area is just stunning and it was great fun having a splash in the sea. The horses and amenities were in top top shape as well. What impressed me the most was how extremely well they handled a mix of novice and experienced riders which isn’t an easy feat! Overall five star experience, I had a fabulous time.

The horses were beautiful and had no qualms about carrying inexperienced riders. My horse on the day, Missouri, constantly looked back to check that I was okay - so cool. The view from top of the hill overlooking Farewell Spit was absolutely breathtaking. The staff are brilliant, all so friendly and made sure that everyone was safe and having a good time. Thank you, Clarissa, Lara, Renee, and James! We'll definitely come back and do it again.

It was everything I dreamed galloping the along the beach then up into the mountains which was a little scary but it was sensational. James and Clarissa were great fun and took great care of me and their horses highly recommended to anyone with a passion for WhararikiBeach and horses. Thanks again and I’ll be back.

She checked in constantly with us, provided excellent commentary and we felt safe at all times. Breathtaking views of Farewell Spit and Abel Tasman from the Old Man Range. Horses were very well taken care of, equipment immaculate. Speaking with James and the team after the ride showed he takes great care and pride in his horses and the team and skills he has. Highly recommended, we didn’t want to leave! I’ve been on a few horse treks but this one took the cake. Thank you for a magical experience.
