β β β β β Reception staff was nice and polite , room was spacious ,bedding was the worst part.
Pillow was so hard and high ,bed was so shaky ,if one person turns the side ,person sleeping next feels the same. Bedding was turned yellow instead of white due to the age or being used too much or probably old. Reception lady Jackie was so nice , I showed her he bedding. I found hair on the bed sheets and bath towels , not sure if its an issue with their laundry service. Blanket was three layer set ( While bedsheet, beige color's blanket and Gray sheet on top) which was looking so bad and kind of dirty. They didn't had comforter etc. Worst motel may not use this sort of bedding. I gave the similar feedback to Jackie and she said she gonna pass it on to the owner. Hope this improves.

β β β β β There are hidden charges so what they tell you is the total price of the room actually isn't I booked thru booking.com and no where on the quality inn website on any booking site does it tell you there is a $200 bond so our two night stay went from $354 to $554 which to be honest is abit steep, it's the only hot l I have ever stayed in that has a bond added on top and also is the only hotel I have stayed in that doesn't place that on their website, so if you do choose to stay here make sure you have an extra $200 for a bond for your room, I have been in contact with booking.com over this $200 bond as a hotel not declaring that and it being a big surprise when you get here is abit disappointing. The room is big and spacious and the kitchen was clean as well as the bathroom, there is some rust on the bath towel rack and there was some extra long black hair on the floor but I cleaned that, the pool isn't open at all even tho it is an orange setting for COVID, car parks are super tight definitely not designed for the larger cars, photos on the site are out dated the person who owns the hotel needs to give it a decent clean and abit of an upgrade, walls are very thin you can hear the people in the next room. The garden centre by the pool in the middle of the hotel is nice well maintained and has seating areas for people to sit on and have coffee or talk, there is also a vending machine on the first floor entrance into the reception area.

β β β β β We will definitely use this hotel again. The staff were lovely and friendly, and very helpful with advice on what to see and do in Napier.
The room was spotless and well equipped.
Really enjoyed the spa bath after being out all day.

β β β β β - Old
- Dated
- Awful
- Ripped and frayed carpet
- I requested shower only, not shower over bath. We were given a room with a shower over tall bath.
- Demolish it and build something decent.
I booked in collected my key and went for a drive. We returned went to the room and I tripped over the ripped and frayed carpet. We cooked the room again and walked down to reception. I rang the bell, waited for a while and nobody came to reception. I left the room key behind the counter and we drive out - and booked into another hotel up the road.
I actually thought of finding a homeless couple on the street to give them somewhere to stay but couldn't do it to them.
If this was the first Quality Inn I had been to I would never, never, never ever stay at another.
Quality Inn Napier needs to be renamed to NO Quality in Napier!!

β β β β β Went to stay here on a girls trip but couldnβt. Iβm 18 and only have a debit card. They told me I had to pay with a credit card or i had to pay quite a bit extra bond on top, hundreds. This was not stated online and my card had been accepted when I put it online. It said they took visa but they were not specific that they wouldnβt take my visa debit card. Had to completely cancel my stay here. They wouldnβt let me connect a family members credit card either, even if I could prove permission.

β β β β β The building, like most of Napier is an older building but it is very well maintained and kept up to modern standards. The room was clean, the bedding was excellent and I appreciated that we got body wash (a lot of hotels give the soap bars). The location was ideal too, right in the middle of town. It was clear that the cleaners take their time and do a good job and the counter staff were friendly and helpful.

β β β β β The hotel had balconies/ walkways that ran the entire length of each floor. This meant foot traffic past your room constantly, and noise from above. The holiday periods mean lots of small children in attendance.
I talked about this with the lady on reception and she moved us to a top floor room and own small balcony.
It was good and we were very thankful.
I would recommend asking for the Deluxe room upper level facing out to Hastings Street if peace and quiet is desired. We stayed in room 214.

β β β β β This was a really nice motel. Short stay with the family. We found all our interactions with the staff really positive. Warm, efficient check in. Rooms were serviced well each day. The room we had was spacious and comfortable enough for my wife and ten year old son and I. Very close to all the action Napier Esplanade and town has to offer.
