Queenstown Apartments & Holiday Homes - Kelvin Heights

The hosts were very friendly and super helpful. We had a unique situation that occurred at the time of our stay, and the hosts were very understanding and helpful. The place had everything we needed to be self-sufficient and comfortable for several weeks. It was great to have our own deck and there was plenty of room to spread out. Access to trails was also great. There are mountain views from the apartment, and really spectacular mountain and lake views accessed by trails just a few minutes walk from the apartment. The apartment is also situated such that they get lots of bright sunshine, which makes the deck very usable and nice. We would for sure stay here again for many reasons, but the biggest being that we felt the hosts truly cared about us and were pro-active with communication and anticipating needs we might have had. We had no problems, but I am certain they would have quickly remedied any issue. The location is also great. It's not in the town of Queenstown (looks at it across the lake), but it has superb access to great trails for biking and walking as well as the lakeshore. Before booking you should have an idea of what you want to experience while in Queenstown. If you want peaceful quiet, nice views, easy outdoor access, and knowledgable and helpful hosts this is a great place. If you want to be within walking distance of the Queenstown shopping, restaurant, and night scene, this might not be for you. The apartment has everything you need to cook on your own and be self sufficient (fridge space for about a week for 2 people). The large supermarkets that serve the Queenstown area are a short drive away, or they can be reached by public bus or by bicycle. Queenstown itself can be reached by bus, water taxi, or bicycle if you do not have a car. Besides the things we really enjoyed, we were pleasantly surprised by the sunny deck, the spacious living area, and having a dishwasher and laundry machine. Where we are from, Kiwis are known for their hospitality and friendliness. Philippa and Bill certainly embody this quality.
