★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good quality for the price however our bathroom was aged and needed a bit of a spruce up. Other than that the room was warm, clean and cosy. Staff were friendly and directions were easy as keys collected from their reception around the corner.
Close walk to the shops and glow worms a short 10 minute walk up a nearby walking track.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent stay. Room comfortable and nice. View good and a great price. I enjoyed my stay. Left phone charger behind and they couriered back to my home. The only issue was sink tap showing signs of wear needing repair and as we had a 4 night stay the room was not really cleaned well as crumbs left of floor after room service. Over all I would stay there again and recommend to others

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Warm and cosy ,, very clean, excellent for the over night stay or maybe longer, the shower was super hot with heaps of pressure. Parking lot perfect for a car.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in the Sunshine Cottage which accommodates 6 people quite comfortability.
Check in: Nice and easy, Cottage was right next door to the Restaurant.
Rooms: 2 Rooms, 1 has a Queen Bed and a Single the other has 3 Singles, beds soft with plenty of pillows. Rooms were large with plenty of space.
Unit was well heated offering heaters in the bedrooms plus electric blankets, gas fireplace and heatpump in the lounge/dining room.
Kitchen is quite small but does offer a microwave, a 2 top stove top and small fridge. Tea and coffee supplied.
Bathroom was nice and shower pressure was amazing. Hot water is connected to Gas so plenty on offer.
Right across the road at the Kiwi Centre they had a lovely little CAFE and the best Coffee in Franz Josef.
Overall a very delightful Cottage would definitely stay again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delightful! I don't normally write reviews about accomodation. You have your own stand alone unit. It is away from the main highway. It overlooks forest with a Department of Conservation walk behind it. It has views of the glacier. The owner was accommodating that I could check in earlier around 12pm. Normal check in time is 2pm. No problem at all.
I stayed at accommodation at another place at Franz Joseph / hotel. It was terrible. The walls were paper thin and you could hear the neighbours bonking next door. If that floats your boat. Your be happy to stay there. People walking around upstairs all night.
This place was terrific in comparison. The photos are of the glacier from this accommodation and the moon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great setup. Compact but still felt spacious. Really comfortable bed, tiny bathroom but great water pressure. Owners/staff friendly and very helpful. Would have preferred an easy chair rather than a single bed but that's just me! Highly recommended.
