★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went with our kids aged 11 and 7. Got face to face with glow worms, got within meters of a wallaby and close to spiders for the brave. Learnt a fair bit too. The NZ forest is such a good place to be in, and the experience at night is not to be missed. Personally the glow worms and waterfalls at night were my favourites . Stephen is a personable guide who loves what he does and it shows in the quality of the tour. Great experience and a lot of fun on a number of a levels. Great value for money. Nature is the winner here. Have no hesitation recommending this.

Stephan is an awesome friendly guy who takes care of you from first to last.
They offer pickup and drop off from location and moments captured in this experience are just mind blowing!!????

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible tour, a definite highlight of our 3 week trip to New Zealand. Small group of 7 and we had the best time together. Learned a ton about the forest, the animals, history, and the glow worms. It was raining when we went but it didn’t hinder us at all. Rain boots were provided and hot chocolate at the end. Definitely recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Remarkable experience! If you are looking for a magical night, you are in the right place! Perfect for small groups and families. You will be able to see lots of glow worms very close. If you are lucky like me, you can also see some wallabies.
Stephen is very experienced guide, which advanced knowledge about NZ fauna and flora. He is very passionate and a lovely person - apart from being an awesome photographer!
I highly recommend this tour!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're looking for something to do in Rotorua at night, this is it. The tour guide Stephen knows his bush as well as he knows his torches, and will make sure you have an amazing night. Photos cannot do justice to the breathtaking sight of millions of glow worms surrounding you in the bush. Stephen also has fascinating facts about the native fauna, and at the end you'll be served the best hot chocolate I've ever had.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stephen has created an outstanding experience in a region I know well. This a must do tour for new and return visitors to Rotorua as well as residents. I loved realness of this nocturnal experience, nothing but the natural environment, in all its beauty. The stars were beautiful, the glow worms shone brightly and we also saw some Australian furry pests!!! The NZ native bush is so different at night and Stephen told us so much about the plants. Highly recommend this trip to all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great night glow worm tour with Stephen. He was very educated and made the entire trip and van ride interesting despite only a couple of us. Would be perfect for something outdoors and a bit different and a great thing to do in the evening. He also took some amazing photos and shared plenty of knowledge with us. Also finished off with a great hit chocolate to warm up! Can't recommend enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ALERT: this is one of the, if not the, best tour you will ever have in New Zealand. Stephen, the tour guide, is passionate and continues to do this tour despite COVID's effects on tourism. The cost/price is more reasonable than other tours around NZ.
You may think that the highlight was seeing hundreds of glowworms from a few centimeters away near waterfalls but this wasnt the case. Dont get me wrong, that was spectacular but the trip itself was extraordinary.
Stephen picked us up from the tourists help centre on time. He drove us in a very comfortable high tech specialised van. He handed us different types of tourches and we walked about 2Km in the dark; including our 3 and a half year old child. You aim your tourch up to see the trees forming a bridge hiding the whole sky from you. We saw tens of wallabies (tiny kangaroo like creatures) hopping meters away from us, Wetta like insect shells (forgot their names) and different types of trees and plants. Ive been in New Zealand for 21 years and this was the first time I saw the real Silver Ferns; they arent as evident in day light. You end the journey with hot chocolate to replenish your energy.
I cannot recommend this tour enough. Thank you Stephen for the hollywood like photos you took of our family in the dark :)
