★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here twice previously with family. This time was fully booked due to shutdown at the mill. Would have stayed here again if not booked out. Very hard working, nice and friendly owner/managers here. The motel is located on the outskirts of the Tokoroa township. About 3 minutes drive to town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The proprietors of the Redwood Motel are lovely. Very welcoming. Very reasonably priced with our room having everything..wifi, sky, kitchenette.
Its not a modern establishment but it didnt matter as it was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this motel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ was not expecting much but was very pleasantly surprised. very clean, simple but comfortable unit. Shower and bathroom a bit old but clean and serviceable. Good sized kitchen and very retro stove. Would definitely stay again

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The unit was incredibly clean and tidy, very well presented for an older motel. Excellent customer service and very welcoming.
My wife and I rode our bikes down from northland and they left the heater an electric blanket on for us for when we arrived, very hospitable. 10/10 recommend to anyone on a long haul needing a stopover

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very clean and tidy. Everything was there required for stay. I shared the double unit with a workmate whilst on contract and have no complaints. Some light sleepers may experience interrupted sleep from traffic on SH1, although closing the relevant windows fixed that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bed was very comfortable cooking area just right great fridge-freezer. They only thing that I thought should be in the kitchen cupboard was a lid for the frying pan, we had a great host.
