Best place we stayed so far! 30$ per night for two persons and one unpowerd campervan; very good value! The staf was sΓ³ friendly, helpfull and open, the atmosphere was very relaxed and we saw an amazing sunset here. The beach is 15 minutes walk, but the walk is beautiful! Raglan is 30minutes away; at Manu bay you can rent a surfboard and wetsuit for $15 one hour and $25 two hours. The facilities are good and the shower is hot. They ask you to shower for a maximum time of 3 minutes. For us thats long enough! We planned to stay for one night but we loved the place so decided to stay for one more. Definitely reccomend and would come back if we have the chance!

Really nice place to camp surrounded by nature. Very affordable and offers hot showers, toilets and a kitchen to cook. There's a path to walk from the campground straight to the beach.

Just stayed 6 nights camping here and loved it. The amenities were always clean and a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Loved the location. Will definitely be returning again.

Beautiful place. Great service - toilets/showers were always clean. We had a nice spot near the stream - clean and tidy. You can walk or drive to the beach. Just make sure you fill up your car. No reception of where we set our tents but if you walk up heading towards the beach you get maybe 2 blocks. No nearby shops so take enough food/drinks. Had a great time away from the industrial side - will do it again.

Friendly staff and very clean facilities. About 5km of gravel road to reach the camp but ok with any car.

Stayed here overnight on my own and felt completely safe. Beautiful environment, lovely owners and the perfect place to relax either on your own or with the entire family. I had even managed to lose my GoPro and one of the other campers were kind enough to hand it in after finding it. Just remember, this is a campground not a hotel, enjoy the experience and the most amazing sunset!

Rolled in over the weekend 27-28/11/21, pulled in to the grounds about 7PM after being on the road all day exploring. No worries about dropping in late, happy to have us. Wasn't super busy, so were fine to let us just park up in our own quiet spot. It's off the beaten track, don't expect anything fancy or flash because it's not, It's old school cool: it's the old school kiwiana camp ground from the 80's vibe and we loved it. the grounds were well maintained, mowed lawns, well kept gardens, clean facilities. For an unpowered site looking after yourself (Still have access to facilities, kitchen, hot shower etc.) at $15 dollars a night you cant complain. It's better than the $44 a night to stay and the camp ground in raglan for a unpowered site. and the drive out to Ruapuke is superb. We are definitely coming back and bring more friends and family with us. Thanks for the stay team.

Very accommodating campground. My family took 2 cabins and a powered caravan site. 5 adults and 4 kids. So affordable with lots to do ! All the kids loved feeding the eels and jumping into the swimming hole, my partner loved the surf. The rest of my family loved the scenery and getting away from the rest of the world. Thank you Ruapuke Motor Camp, especially the kind people providing food to my kids for the eels.
