★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been ordering Sages Curry for must be 20 years and their food is always great. Super tasty and great delivery on a Tuesday night in Level 3. Our meal turned up a the time we ordered through the online ordering system. The naan was delicious and fresh and the curries yummy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The first restaurant refusing to accommodate my diabetic needs. Instead of ordering one main course, I ordered two half portions ( one prawn dish, and a curry) to get the right balance of food required, but was told that this was not possible. Luckily one of our party kindly offered to change her order to help out, which saved our night ! It was good food, but I wouldn't go back.

Up until recently my only experience with Indian cuisine had come from shopping malls and the odd take out. That all changed when a friend invited me to review Sages in Point Chevalier.
Food
The Mango Chicken I ordered was one of the best meals that I have had for a while. The meat was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of spices that helped to enhance the dish, without overpowering it. Everything I ate just seemed to come to life, from the moist and tender chicken, to the crispiness of the garlic Naan Bread.
Part of that is down to the work of co-owner and chef Kamal Jhajj, who insists on using only the best ingredients in the dishes he creates, to the point where he’ll close the kitchen if he doesn’t have access to the freshest foods available.
Setup
The restaurant itself is deceptively nondescript, from the outside but becomes warm and inviting once I stepped through the front door. The low lighting and dark red wallpaper really gives Sage’s a romantic vibe that I liked a lot.
The staff were friendly and efficient, with Kamal regularly coming out to see how we were, although I suspect it may have been because it was a slow Wednesday night.
Conclusion
As a reviewer I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to give restaurants a perfect 10, but Sage’s really nails it with its friendly service, delicious offerings, and romantic ambiance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Normally I place a phone order for pick up but last time when I made an online order for delivery they accidentally missed my order. After a long wait for 1hr 53m I got my food with complementary crispy chips, and they offered 10% discount for next order. Anyway I’m highly likely to go back there for only one reason that their curry & nann are super tasty. definitely recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered the Butter Chicken and a Lamb Rogan Josh, with a couple of Garlic Naan. Delicious! Tender lamb, just the right heat, great spice, and a perfect ratio of sauce. The Butter Chicken was nicely tomato-ey but a little sweet for our taste. The rice accompanying was perfectly done.
The Naan travelled well, with a 10+ min drive home.
Great portion sizes. Just right.
Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered chicken tikka masala and it was good. Thick sauce and good mix of meat and capsicum. Rice was also fluffy and delicious. Mango lassi was also nice. Just odd to have it topped with chocolate powder. Soothing background music. Just pricey.
