This is an expensive family store. They tried to charge $2 a piece for fabric that was 5cmx15! This should have been 50cents or less a piece. Large wait in line. Very messy and unorganised store. Will not be going back here!

I miss this place a lot. We don't have this kind of shops in our country,. When i lived in Wellington for further study, i usually went to salvo not only to get important stuffs but also to have some kinds of window shopping. It was very exciting when you could find a good stuff in very low price.

Worth a look, got some trendy sunnies here for a low price. They sell small furniture items and quite a few homewares as well as clothing. Layout can be a wee bit cluttered.

The salvation army in Karori is a great opshop in Wellington and has an amazing variety and (usually) a consistently fair pricing. I've shopped here for about 3 years now and I've seen about everything. Amazing retro jerseys to the latest trendy skirts. There's a huge variety of clothes, trinkets, tools, books, bags, CDs, DVDs, etc. The staff at this opshop are exceptional and have acted in kindness and community to me and other shoppers The only problem I face with this opshop is that the pricing - specifically of clothes - has gone up at $2 - $3. Overall, this is my go to opshop and I would 100% recommend.

I appreciate the work of the volunteers here, however I was very disappointed with the donation pick up. We had asked them if they could pick up four desks, a bed, and an office chair. The pick up man called me on the morning of the pick up and said he is going to pick up two desks, a bed and an office chair. When I told him it was meant to be four, he got MAD at me over the phone and said he was told to pick up two. That's fine, but there was no need to be rude to me. They also didn't take the full bed, only the mattress when we had asked them to also take the bed base. Feeling annoyed and upset that I got yelled at.

Been a long time since I have been here. Very clean and tidy, with a good range of products. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I brought a recliner which I am very happy with.

A reasonable op shop when open but don't trust the opening hours. I drove across town today to collect something only to find they had closed early.
