Agree with Stephanie’s post re trying to get an appointment. Have given up and will find another place instead. Guess they don’t want/ need the business.

Wouldn't use these guys at this branch ever. Husband's first skin removal - wasn't given antibiotics and 10 days later when the dressings and stitches were removed, he had an infection and is left with a scar that wouldn't have been as bad if he had antibiotics or a dressing we could see and monitor. The second time he went in, there were 2 spots removed. When he went back to get the stitches the removed, all was good (he had stated he wanted antibiotics) ... Until a week later when he took off the plaster and we discovered that one of the wounds still has stitches in it. We went back and requested to be seen immediately for removal. Hopefully there is no negative side effect of the staff incompetence. For something that cost an outrageous sum and is what I thought your company specialises in, I am surprised at the level of failure your staff have achieved. It could have done at the Drs for a fraction of the price, and probably with less issues. I am most certainly not recommending this branch for anyone to go to... As for the others, I cannot judge. Do not judge all stores based on the failings of one.

Very pleasant desk staff and skin specialist was thorough, balancing professionalism with friendly courteous attention. He explained everything and his plan of treatment reflecting on previous data. I feel confident about having regular checks.

If you are looking for a mole check, my advice would be to contact your local medical centre first and request a GP with some background in dermatology. The following describes my disappointing experience with Skin Institute in New Lynn. On the face of it they look like a trustworthy and ethical organisation but I've come away thinking they are anything but. First of all, they are expensive, very expensive., ten times the cost of visiting your local GP and having your skin checked by the public system. Skin Institute can undertake procedures much faster, but you'll pay for it. I was quoted over $3000 just for two biopsies. The equivalent cost was $350 on the public system. Secondly, their communication is poor. It's difficult to make appointments. Lastly, as a customer/patient I never felt valued or respected, an example being the lack of a follow call after my mole check and my request for time to consider the massive quote for biopsies. I never heard from them. My belief is that they knew the price (without insurance) was astronomical and I wasn't worth the time. If Skin Institute had my wellbeing at heart, they would contact me to find out how I was going to progress. All in all, very poor.

I was nervous being referred here based on the reviews but found them completely unfounded. Sure there was a wait for an appointment but it wasn't unreasonable and it's not like they're standing around waiting for work. The Dr was very pleasant and efficient, and the nurses were all exceptional with their level of care.

My husband and I have seen Dr Wong for 2 years at New Lynn and we have been impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. Reception staff were friendly and helpful with booking and insurance related queries.

Not sure is their staff has angry issue or a racist. I walked in to their clinic during their opening hour, door was locked. So I quietly waiting at the door. A very rude and angry woman (medium blond hair, long face) at the reception unlocked the door and blocking the entrance, told me she’s not expecting anyone to come in in a very angry voice and manner. Worst experience ever. People who doesn’t want to be treated like a rubbish, just don’t go there.

Staff are lovely, Doctor Sue was excellent. The only problem I have is that the receptionist promised to sort out my surgery date that has been tentatively booked for the 3rd of March. Said I would get a call by close of day yesterday to confirm I am still waiting. I think she was trying to match up a nurse with the Dr at the time she booked me. Tried calling this morning had to leave a message. Regards
