★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you want to buy their insurance, you can talk to someone quickly. For the rest of the enquiries, you need to wait on the phone for at least 20 minutes. Also, different people give me different answers. They also overcharged me for 2 weeks. I got the policy from the middle of the month. However, they charge me from the beginning of the month.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pathetic. Just called their Customer Care to enquire options available for 2 year working holiday to Canada. The lady on the phone was completely disinterested, kept telling me to go to their website to get more information. When I asked her if she can help me get a quote, she sounded rude and said she cannot just send me a quote on the fly and that I'll need to get a proper quote from her on the phone to which I agreed but then again she brought website back in the conversation and asked me to go to the website. I am not interested in getting a quote from your website, what is the issue in speaking to me and helping out? Are you short staffed like a typical kiwi company as always? Well, hire more people, who are perhaps a bit more professional in their conduct.
I am a legitimate southern cross customer and I think I deserve more than just cold shoulder.

I was robbed in what I have to say really put a damper on my trip. Lauren who worked with me to process my claim was efficient and processed the claim- while I was still on holidays! Thank you Lauren & SCTI for providing a class insurance product. Will refer my friends and family.

New flights cost us more than twice the original price, airline isn't expected to pay out for months and we cleared most of our savings we had for the trip to buy the new flights. Southern Cross were absolutely amazing. Quick responses to calls and emails, genuinely helpful, nice people and they even pushed our claim through so we have the money back before we leave. We could not be more grateful and I won't be using any other insurance companies going forward, their fantastic service has made an incredibly stressful time much easier for us.
