I rescued a cat on the night of 4th December and contacted a number of organizations for help. Everyone passed it on to the other. I couldn't see the animal suffering and decided to take it to the vet. The vet started charging me high amounts. I got the cat spayed, vaccinated, and also got her flea treatment done. I bathed her, cut her nails, and started taking care of it like a small baby. She was responding to medication and was gaining weight. But suddenly on the 26th evening, she again started having diarrhea and no vets were available. The emergency wanted a big amount of money to treat her. I called SPCA to help the cat. The organization sent a woman who was very rude. She asked for papers and made me sign a document with fine prints. Unfortunately, I was naive and didn't read it. After signing I asked if I could come to see the cat. The woman very rudely informed me that she is now SPCA's property. I called the next day to enquire about the cat and was told rudely that they will not let me know her medical condition. I kept her for 21 days and know her medical condition, temperament, habit, etc. more than SPCA. Then she blankly informed me that the cat is fine. My intuitions didn't believe it. Today I called them and asked for Mini and requested them to return the cat. The management (Tracey) was extremely rude and was shouting at me but she very conveniently accused me that I am talking loudly. She treated me in a manner as if she is doing me a favour. She asked me to pay SPCA money if I wanted the cat back and also she will let me know the next day about their decision. Her behaviour was shocking. I was dumb stuck with her rudeness. May be be they are rude to Asians. It happens with Indians,a typical kind of racist behaviour ! You can feel it and understand it. I managed to ask her about the cat's condition and she said that the cat is not eating. On 27th the cat was eating. She ate half can of RC mother and baby mousse before I handed her to SPCA. This service manager even acussed me that the stray cay was mine and I abandoned her. Thats the most ridiculous statement. She seems to lack knowledge and facts and just speaks through policies . This organization is a sham. Living off people's taxes and hanging sick animals around their necks as trophies for funds and sympathy. If I had read the reviews before I gave the cat away then today the cat would have been better. This organization needs to be accountable to the public.

On my 2nd call which went on hold then silent-so I had to cut the call AGAIN-after leaving a message, which they’ll “respond to promptly” as they stated in phone line?? But it’s been over 2 hours now since I’ve called. My first call was as soon as they opened and now my second call after 2 hours. Terrible service. I found 3 stray kittens that are clearly infected bc they’re having diarrhoea and the stray parents are coming back wanting the kittens but surely spca is the better option? No one will be home from tonight & I’m scared these kittens if left to parents could run into danger from the street dogs or cars. Terrible service should be easier

Rafiki’s first real home. Thank you team for taking such good care of him when he was a kitten. The SPCA team are wonderful here, they made sure we had everything we needed to give Raffy his best life. If you can buy a rescue, do it! They are so worth it - just look at this guy!

We came to find our new special friend and left with Miri (now known as Gracie). She is so inquisitive and cuddly and we're in love with her

Instead of simply rejecting my animal surrender due to being full to capacity, the SPCA worked with me to provide care for the abandoned animals until we could find a humane solution. Im really impressed with the staff- both onsite and Tracy, who delivered essential needs to my house for the animals. Both staff members exercised really high professionalism- towards the animals but also in understanding the stressful situation. Thankyou 4 helping with this situation

Brought my handsome man home today. He made himself part of the family within an hour. All cats I’ve adopted in the past have been lovely. :)

We adopted mashmellow about 4 weeks ago when we got her she was fully potty trained and very cuddly and loved to play with her toys she likes to think she’s a big kitty but really out other 2 cats are twice as big as her she loves to play with them all the time we have changed her name to Millie cause she’s a very silly kitten that is full of energy but after a hour she’s fast asleep on my bed with me I would 100% adopted from then again

Lost my bunny and found her listed on SPCA lost and found. The team here took great care of her, flea treatment, annual injection and took care of all her matted fur. Gave me heaps of info and advice on securing bunny enclosure, diet, grooming etc. Bethany was awesome, she even gave me the proper grooming brushes and recorded video of how to groom properly matted fur. My bunny came back happy, healthy and fur looking fresh and smooth. Thanks so much ???
