About us
Breakaway Parking & Fleet Storage Ltd (flyaway.co.nz) is a Kiwi owned business operating Park & Ride vehicle parking near Auckland International Airport. We take the hassle and expense out of airport parking so you can relax and enjoy your time away. Here’s some important information you need to know before you book in with us:
- We are open all hours, 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, statutory days included, providing a Free Shuttle to and from the airport terminals. We provide outdoor parking.
- All vehicles remain at Verissimo Drive for safety and security - we do not drive your vehicle offsite.
- We offer a valet parking service where we hold your car keys. With valet parking your car will be waiting for you near where you get off the shuttle on return. We also have a limited number of spaces available for customers who would like to keep their keys. For insurance reasons we do not allow customers to park their own cars in our main valet park area- please do not be offended if our staff advise the option to take your keys is not available on this occasion.
- Child and baby seats are available, please advise the driver or our receptionist of your requirements.
- We can also arrange for your vehicle to be cleaned whilst you are away - prices start at just $35, please ask our staff for details.
- We recommend booking in advance so you can be assured of a parking spot at the best available rates. *Please note our rates are subject to minimum prices and will vary during peak times such as Public and School Holidays. A minimum duration of stay may be necessary to qualify for the cheapest advertised rates.
- The best way to book is via our online booking portal and pay either by credit card or directly from your bank account with the DPS Account2Account feature, you can find it here.
- Telephone bookings need to be paid for by card on arrival over the counter – Cards accepted are Eftpos, Visa, American Express, MasterCard, Diners Card, and debit cards.
- Unfortunately, we do not accept cash or cheque but we do take eftpos and credit card.
- Length of stay. Online costs are as automatically quoted and our rates are calculated per calendar day, subject to minimum charges. Book early to avoid disappointment.
- Online bookings as quoted, which is on the basis of a 24 hour day or part thereof.
- Prices quoted online are the best available at the time of enquiry but are not guaranteed until booking is complete and payment made.
- Bookings over-the-counter are calculated per calendar day subject to minimum charges. Please note at busy times our cheapest rates may not always be available. Book early to avoid disappointment.
- All bookings include one courtesy shuttle trip to and from the airport terminals.
- If you have a discount or promo voucher, please hand it over the counter at the time of arrival at the yard, so it can be attached to your booking. Please ensure sure your booking number is written on your voucher.

They broke my car key and said it was like that when I dropped off my car. They even did not bother accepting their fault, forget about repairing the key...
I recommended them to many people, but now regret doing that.
Never go there.
They don't care about your car at all.
Left me paying $140 to replace the key. I wish I parked at the airport without hassle...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently used Flyaway Parking for the first time. My choice was largely on cost, & cars not being shunted off to 'lots' (security).
It was also despite one or two 'unhappy' reviews, mostly because I was impressed by some of the current Manager's online comments & apparent attitude.
I found the online booking process easy, phone service highly efficient & friendly, & all staff very much 'on the ball'.
A shuttle van was ready to go as I got my car checked in, & I just managed to catch another one ready to "head off" on my return (~8:40 pm) 3 weeks later. Lucky? Maybe.
I'd booked my car originally for nearly 4 weeks but events meant I had to return early. To my relief, changing my pickup date by phone was no problem. OK, I did give several days' notice. The possibility even of a credit or refund was offered.
My car was duly ready for pickup (& a decent refund later made) with no hassle at all.
A Tip: Use an in-car Navigator & allow plenty of time at 'each end'.
Flyaway vans don't (can't?) use the Public drop-off areas, so you may have a good 10-minute walk between their drop-off/pickup area (near Jetstar) and (eg) Air NZ Domestic area.
Conclusion: Will I go to Flyaway again? For sure!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have used Flyaway Parking for several years, after trying others. We recommend them and the value for money. The staff are helpful and friendly. Never had any issues at all, nor been late. If you just miss a shuttle, sure you may have to wait a little longer…..but not an unreasonable length of time at all. Today Flyway went above and beyond. I was running late after dropping the family, luggage, prams, car seats off etc. Knowing the shuttle had just left and the time of my flight, they kindly rushed me to the terminal. I did not have to ask, and was considering getting an Uber. Thanks for the exceptional service always and thanks to Marsh today.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just one shuttle long wait time to be picked up where as park n fly had several shuttles coming in also park n fly was cheaper by 10 dollars for 5 days as compared to fly away even if I messed up according to the owner and called the wrong number it was given on their website and they already know the departure and arrival times as it’s required while booking the parking and even flight number is given
even departing from Auckland Initially I was so close to being late as the shuttle driver was later more than 20 minutes and quite a people were waiting for him to come. On the way back the shuttle driver was doing every alone so it’s a capacity issue
Where as in my initial review park n fly were operating better and had two shuttles operating .

Had some changes to make to a booking and had easy, friendly communication with every one. Will never go anywhere else for airport parking. Been there around 5 times now. From being greeted by name as walking into reception, to the very kind gentleman who drove us and helped us with our bags. On our return the bus was there waiting when we exited the airport, we didn't get a spot in that bus as it was full but in no time it was back to collect us. Highly recommended, great price, great value and great staff. Thank you Flyaway team - we will definitely use you again.
