We are a restaurant, tapas bar & events venue. We have live music every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon and/or evening, from acoustic musicians to full bands and DJs. Our food is made by passionate chefs using only free range meat and fresh local produce.

We want you to feel at home and to be able to pop by no matter what the time is (if it’s between 8am-1am – we need sleep, too).

The iconic Mount Social Club building has been a restaurant and bar in Mount Maunganui since the 70’s. In 2014 it had a full makeover using mostly recycled, reclaimed building materials and got fitted out with a lot of funky, up-cycled furniture.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the most amazing food and drinks here. They have one of the largest selections of beers and ciders and their food was delicious. Their pork belly was hands down the best meal of the evening but all the dishes we tried were great. Will definitely return.

The food was amazing, we had the pulled lamb with bacon, silverbeet and mash. A strange combo, but the taste buds loved it.
Lovely ambience with a real fire, lovely furniture and a lake view.
Well worth trying

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best vegan food! Was surprised how much we loved this spot. We went on Thursday night and the waiter was amazing, so friendly and helpful to my friend who is gluten free. The spot is perfect, over looking the lake! There is even an outdoor area. We will definitely be back ?

I ordered the tortilla basket salad with salmon and also we had the loaded fries which was a big serving ?
My Tortilla basket was just delicious
