L	Layla Robinson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best food on our holiday! This restaurant a few blocks from the CBD was awesome! Amazingly tender pork belly and super crackly crackling. Fresh tasty fish. The Pita Pocket on the kids menu was a hit! Great portion sizes. Lovely service. Good prices. Cute kids sundae (pictured) . Nice setting as part of Suncourt Hotel. We loved it. What a great end to our pre-long weekend holiday. Thank you!!
D	Deborah Bennett on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In strange times of tourists desperately needed i would have thought we would have been welcomed? However, we stood waiting to be seated we actually scanned in. We were before the other visitors but they have those people attention didn't see them scan in. We stood there for 10 minutes masked on sanatized our hands vax passes in hand but staff walked past us twice so we walked out. Restaurant wasn't full at the time either. Their loss.
R	Ragga Girl on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our meals were just average the beef burgers it wasent bad but it was just meh and we just feel lonestar is much yummier and you get more bang for your buck. Service was fine just kinda average. Kids disliked thier meals. Mac n cheese very very plain no bacon not much flavour. We probably wont dine here again.
M	Mel Tebia on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disappointing! So dinner came, we went to Lake bistro and they said they can’t accommodate us because we do not have a booking. Right, that’s fine. I asked can we then just order food and just send it to our room? The lady said sure. After she had taken our order and paid. We are about to go back to our room she said you need to wait for your food as we don’t deliver it to rooms (take note that on their website it says room service is available). We stayed patient and said ok. We waited for i dunno how long. I was trying to stay calm and patient. And was thinking, ohh maybe they will atleast put our food in a take away container as it’ll be awkward and humiliating to carry a tray back to your room. But heck NO! We literally had to carry 2 trays of food back to our room. I have never felt so humiliated ever! Also the Indian guy who’s the manager was so disrespectful. One of the waitress saw us waiting and approached us to ask if we wanted something to drink that manager kept on calling the lady even if he saw that she was talking to us.
C	Coach Canterbury Rowing on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very poor service, staff seemed disinterested in serving us. We ordered drinks twice and still they didn’t arrive, even after a reminder. The food was below average and chips were cold. Would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you want a good meal.
C	Colin & Sandy Gibson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a party of 8 adults & a baby for lunch on the Terrace yesterday. I was worried it may be cold but it was warm & pleasant. We all had fabulous meals starting with shared platters then a main course. All beaufifully presented & served with very friendly staff. Most if us then had dessert..I had affogato which was yum. We all enjoyed our afternoon & will be back for sure. Our out of town visitors were very impressed & happy ?

We were greeted at the door which was great and then seated, had our drinks and mains order taken and that was the last we saw of the waitress until our food was brought out. no regular check in- although it seemed others tables were? We wanted to get another drink to pair with our mains but with the lack of service we couldn’t get attention. We then got our mains- already frustrated my steak then came out rare- almost blue, when i had asked for medium rare. if one of the waitresses had taken their time to check in mid meal to ask if everything was ok that would have been greatly appreciated. I ended up wasting half of my meal because i couldn’t eat my scotch. We sat for another 15 minutes and still there was no sign of anyone- although i saw 4 different staff on and personally judging it wasn’t all that busy. Overall we would have really appreciated better service. Left feeling quite frustrated especially after having paid and no questions asked about our time with you. Will not be coming back.
Y	Yves Madriaga on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing food, accompanied by a great selection of drinks. Very lovely staff who would look after you and the outdoor seating was just lovely with natural plants and decor. Superb location which has good views and a stone’s throw away from Lake Taupo.
