★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very expensive considering the waiting time. Very expensive considering the lack of customer service behind the desk. Very expensive considering being told by a doctor that one of my health concerns would have to wait until my next visit. Very expensive considering I have never had my blood pressure taken. The reason I stay is general laziness and the want to remain in Te Puke. I have been on a waiting list to move to the other Te Puke practice for over 2 years. I understand this practice is in high demand.

I moved to this practice two years ago and having been there 6 times with the SAME problem each time they tell me there is "probably nothing wrong" and then charge me full price without even having a look! The Doctors barely even listen to what I am saying. One doctor told me they wouldn't do anything for me until i was at least 60. The other doctor told me that "people as young as you don't get sick". I'm 36. What the hell kind of doctor thinks this? I will be changing practices. These guys just want your money and turn patients around as fast as possible. Sometimes my visits are only 5 minutes and I am rushed out so they can get another patient through. You have peoples lives in your hands. Get your act together! Hire some decent doctors!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't go here if you need a doctor, they only after the fees.
I went several times with chest pains, and was told I had depression, and or anxiety. after going to another doctor I was told I may have AF. they sent me for a few tests, and PING, I have AF. I went back to ask for a refund, I felt that if you pay for a doctor, and are given the wrong information you should be entitled to a refund, but not here, I had to pay because I DID have my appointment with said doctor. did not matter that I was given the wrong information.
Its a sorry country we live in when doctors can get away with giving out the wrong diagnosis, not even bothering to send you off for basic bloods, or other tests.
Its only a matter of time before enough people complain, and/or someone dies, but I suppose they'll get away with that as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service and care provided to me was horrific.
I was seen by a male doctor complaining about stomach pain that was so severe I couldn't stand or breathe properly and was told to cut out dairy!
Later that evening I was rushed to hospital to have emergency surgery to have a huge ovarian cyst removed which had shown up on an ultrasound, the same ultrasound that had been performed at Te Puke medical center, just not accurately. I definitely felt that female health care wasn't of interest to them, especially when the doctor told me that I must be exaggerating the level of pain that I was experiencing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Identified as a possible casual contact through my work. Stood down from work to isolate for 7 days and asked to obtain a covid test. Rang this practice as it states testing available by appointment only to be told no test unless I'm enrolled with them. Absolutely appalling lack of judgement on their part. Where is your sense of community spirit Te Puke Medical Centre???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Poor service, I have asthma as well as broncheictass they refuse the use of a nebulizer and strongly advice on a spacer they say works better - not true in my case I went against my doctors advice and bought myself a nebulizer and it really worked big time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Okay, so Te Puke health med has single handedly redeemed itself for our family because of Dr. Julia. She is brilliant. And for the first time in years we feel like we are getting the GP care and attention we needed. She’s down to earth, listens and is flexible. She is a COOL/fun doctor. And this makes her bedside manner relatable.
We are Still not sure about some of the front desk staff, they have improved with time, but I think there’s one or two who are a bit unnecessarily snappy!
Once upon a time I would have rated this clinic 1 star, after a couple of years of hideous customer service from both doctors and receptionists. However, it looks like these doctors are on the mend, At least for our family.
