★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well worth a visit when opened. Have given a lot of history of the area. Views are wonderful and also a lovely spot to visit. Watching the people out on their Sips, otherwise very quiet.

Good views though and you are at the western point of the North Island. Great campsite next door at only $10 night and of course has the amazing coastal views

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A historic & long beautiful history of lighthouse service from 1881 to 1976 for mariners. The are no light house keepers after the last one left in 1976. Friendly & dedicated Volunteers man the open days of sat & sunday for local & visiting visitors. Pictorial history @ all levels of light house. Enjoy sea breeze & waves
