★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Craved for fish and chips, and salt and pepper squid one day when my partner and I were in Mission Bay. We bought the fish and chips in another store but they didn’t have the squid which turned out to be a blessing in disguise... because it only cost us $9 for the squid here, vs that other restaurant where it was $16 ?
Fishboy was PACKED when we went there. There was literally only two people dividing the work between themselves—one was cooking and serving, the other was taking orders on top of that. So took a while before I got my takeaway, which was all good and so worth it!
The squid was tasty and not at all hard to chew or rubbery. Tartare sauce was a perfect complement as well. Will definitely go back here and buy the fish and chips from them as well! ???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So over priced! Calamari meal was incredibly small and long wait when there were only a few couples ahead of us. Unsure if the snapper meal was even snapper - small chips seemed very store brought -average at best. Incredibly disappointed for a beach side chippy and noticed the cooks even had their long hair down not what you expect when working in a kitchen. .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dissapointed when they didnt even check my vaccine pass. It was also quite chaotic. Fish and chips not too bad but the price is a bit extreme for just fish and chips ($13-20). Also got a tiny lemon slice.
Unfortunately it seems to be the only fish and chips shop left in mission bay. Generally tend to avoid mission bay for food. Mainly set-up for tourists.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give 0 stars I would. Waited an hour for fish and chips last night. Ordered online and the time said we could pick up within half an hour. Arrived to pick up the order and the server was incredibly rude asking about my order number which I gave to him. Was told it would take another 10 minutes which was fine but when I returned I waited an additional half an hour for my food. Over an hour waiting for fish and chips is absolutely ridiculous. As I was watching I only saw one of the staff really doing any work. Customers were being ignored who were standing at the counter and when questioned about the wait time they were incredibly defensive. After about an hour of waiting I asked the server again how much longer and his response was “Mam!! As you can see we are cooking!!” Didn’t expect to have someone raise their voice to a paying customer. Very overpriced for fish and chips too. Would not recommend to anyone!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a Find.. top class fish and chips and beautiful chicken burger. Top class customer service by lovely lady on the counter. Order arrived within no time, nice and clean place to sit and eat your meal.
Negative reviews from previous customers should be treated as one off as we have seen brilliant customer services and reasonable price. Be mindful all business are short staffed due to COVID and lapse in services can happen to any business.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tasty fush n chips. We didn't have to wait super long for the food to be ready. Food was nicely displayed and came with a wee lemon slice and aioli.
Only downsides I could see were the price, it's a bit steep for fish and chips, but not steep considering the location. I'd also like to see the ability to order just a fish, but I couldn't see that on the menu.
Would return!
