★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A spectacular place with these wonderful & majestic rock formations. Best views available only when low tide & you walk near them. There are many caves & holes & tunnels to walk through. Love the ones through the Elephant Rock. There’s a big one at the end ( further away from the three sisters but sadly when I approached there it’s already high tide. So a piece of advice for ya - check the tidal hours before u go

Majestic Taranaki would be visible on clear day.
The Three Sisters rock are clearly visible but The Elephant rock's head have broke down and no longer exists in one piece.
Only accessible during low tide if you don't wanna get wet.
Definitely recommend if you passing by or looking for a place to spend a day with nature.
Caves like rock structures across the river are accessible from further ahead the road towards Auckland.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 15 to 20 minutes walk from car park. Please watch low and high tides time before you plan to visit. When we arrived it’s almost on high tide. The toilet facilities near car park are is not recommended foul smell.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Turn off to three sisters is at bottom of the bridge then follow road to the next sign where large parking area is with toilets. Make sure you time it where the tide is out so it's easily accessible and can see up close

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have great fun there. The kids loved playing with the water, waves and sand. The warer is very warm for swimming too. Such a good place for photos. After the walk and a swimming, we enjoyed some icecream and fish and chips at the cafe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time visitor. Loved it. Toilets were clean and tidy and didn't smell. Will definitely be going back. Managed to get there on a low tide and got to see the gorgeous coast line. A must visit. B
