★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When you get to the look out, keep going!! The steps down lead to a better look out, and a second water fall hidden behind a few trees to the right. Stunning!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mt Damper Falls - the Fall shall be much better after rain; it still looks good today though. Just a very short walk thru the bush after u crossed a small bridge. There are 2 platforms; you’ll first reach the top one where u can see the vista view of the Fall & the valley from the top; then walked down staircases to the bottom platform where u are able to see the base of the Fall from the mid level of it. Strongly recommended

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All up, it's about an hour and a half added onto your Forgotten Highway trip, but if you have the time to spare then it's worth it. The walk from the car park is an easy 15 minute stroll each way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good break on the shortcut route from New Plymouth to the National Park. It's an easy 12-min walk from the intersection/parking area to the upper lookout via a private sheep farm.
