★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You guys just have one job :/ this place is close on Saturdays and nothing around mentioned this on internet, we just realized until we saw here at in their door.
We drove 3 hours to "pick up" the van we reserved online and oh surprise! The place is closed, we just received a phone call from a lady in charge saying "SORRY" for this.
Seriously, just one job!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hired a camper van from Travellers Autobarn ChC for a south island runaway, and it was superb. The campervan was nicely maintained and all functional, the journey was very good as rain with the help from their own developed cellphone app. We had a great time travelling with this van, and we will return next time when we were out there.

Got a call from the corporate office as we are arriving telling us they can't get ahold of anyone at the location and only option is to pick up on Monday... After arriving sign says they are closed on Saturday May-August. Really though how hard is it to post accurate hours on the site and Google maps pages...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to this branch over my South Island vocation. Renting a hi5 was the best choice for this. Christchurch staff members Luna and Joseph were friendly and welcome us from the start, the specs and insurance policies were clearly explained. They even have an own app to show you where the camp sites are! Very helpful. The van we got was powerful and clean. Nothing to complain. We had a great time and will be back again on our next South Island holiday.

Great bed, tools for cooking, power for charging our laptops. We managed to travel all around the south island with ease and woke up in some amazing camp spots. Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I spent 10 days road tripping through the South Island in the "Kuga Campervan". I had a great experience with Travellers Autobarn, they send you an instructional video of the many uses of the camper van before your trip, so by the time you hit the road you already feel comfortable in the vehicle and know where everything is and how everything works. The Kuga Campervan was perfect for us, the sleeping arrangements were very spacious and comfortable, they even provide you with your own sleeping equipment which is great if you want to save space in your suitcase. Another great addition in the camper van was the gas stove and the fridge, this allowed us to cook delicious meals while on the road. Something that I usually worry about while road-tripping is being away from the vehicle with all of my personal belongings left inside, however the Kuga Campervan has plenty of hidden storage so you're possessions won't be visible from outside the vehicle which gave me peace of mind. Altogether my road trip was amazing and I'm already looking forward to returning ASAP, the vehicle was reliable and took us to some amazing locations, I would certaintly book with Travellers Autobarn again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Travelled around the South Island recently in a chubby camper from Travellers Autobarn and had the time of my life! It was my first time in a camper van and loved the convenience of having a home on wheels and being able to stay at the many campsites available. We travelled up and down the South Island, visiting some of the best locations in the country and having this camper van made travelling around so much easier! The van comes equipped with a very comfortable double bed, fridge, sink, table, gas cooker and so much more! We had no issues with the van, everything was working perfectly and it was easy to drive. The staff at Travellers Autobarn were also very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. I'd highly recommend travelling with Travellers Autobarn to anyone who wants to experience van life for themselves and I can't wait for my next roadie with them in the future!
