โ โ โ โ โ This was a fantastic family holiday at an awesome discounted rate during the school holidays. Something that should be considered for NZ citizens frequently. It was an awesome experience driving around seeing how beautiful NZ is.

โ โ โ โ โ All in all, the vehicle was okaaaay for our 4 week trip, but sub-standard for the price we paid... We met campers who had much better vehicles for the same price or less.
We didnt mind the usual wear and tear of the 15yr old camper van we got, but it went beyond that in many regards:
- None of the locks worked properly, in was a struggle....
- The aircondition was broken
- The electricity of 12volt was not sufficient to power the lights inside the vehicle
- Windows opened and closed with difficulty
- The toilet latch didn't work as it should, so the odour of the toilet lingered :(
- The front rim was dangerously bent, the tyres very worn, actually not roadworthy
- Some cupboard and drawers doors didnt lock anymore and thus open and close during driving
At the agency, after pointing these things out, they were cooperative and willing to replace the worrisome tyre.

โ โ โ โ โ DO NOT DO IT! Thought we were paying more for decent service. Booked a camper for hire. Said they would meet us at the airport at 12. Emailed at 12:30 saying the camper broke down the day previous and wouldn't be ready until the following day in the late afternoon. They were not willing to do anything but refund 1 day; no accommodation or compensation for booked tours we were forced to miss. Would not stand behind anything and would not refund us to cancel and get a new unit from elsewhere. The lack of customer service is sickening. They even threatened to take us to court.

โ โ โ โ โ Would not recommend hiring a camper van here. After pick up we found out many defects:
- 2 burners not working
- house battery dead
- a missing curtain
- brake light & head light broken
- TV not working
- entertainment system not working
- sink clogged
- leaking
The vehicles are advertised as older vehicles, so minor defects are to be expected, but not to the extent we experienced. This should be part of pre-rental checks.
Some of the major issues were fixed, but it cost us a couple of phone calls and of course precious time.
On return we were refunded 2 days hire. It didn't seem a big surprise, and looking at other reviews it looks like we're not the only one with such issues.
2 stars because staff is friendly, and the missing curtain and dead house battery were resolved.
Would never return here though.

โ โ โ โ โ Fantastic Easter weekend away with a camper from the team. Super friendly and helpful staff. Looked at the big brand campers who were almost $2k more for the same time just because it was a public holiday. Campers are a couple years older then the big companies but super clean and still modern and did everything we needed. We were already planning our next trip with their campers on our way home from this trip.

โ โ โ โ โ Everything went well. Had a minor problem with the car but got it repaired in Dunedin. Lost half a day though. Staff is friendly. Gave us a bit old camping chairs which is a bit bad if you pay extra for them. Just check them before you go and they give you better ones. Car was as offered. A bit old and not everything works perfect, but that's what you expect when you rent a almost 10year old vehicle ?
